Super uplifting Cumbia Set that may bring all the Joy of Universe into your Heart.

Emotional Aspect: There is direct connection from Cumbia to Heart and from Cumbia to Hips. Heart holds energy of Divine Love and hips hold the energy of Divine Creation as well as emotions. This set is outcome of my previous struggling-processing-growing cycle. That growth led me to move Sacral Energy (creative/productive/sexual/emotional) towards to Heart Energy (universal love and devotion).

Musical Aspect: Where I live at the moment, in Mexico, Cumbia is a big thing. There are so many different approaches to Cumbia in this set. Some classic ones almost 50 years old and some new age electronic cumbia or remixes. Some nostalgic, psychedelic tunes as well.

Working on this set made me realize how deeply I am connected to Mexican Culture from so many different aspect.

Few times a year, Mercury begins its backwards movement, all the while it will be throwing our communications and technology out of whack.💥
This can make us feel ungrounded. In this time it's important to understand that words can heal and can hurt and we should be kind with the way we choose to express ourselves. Self-care should be our priority💕

I've built this chakra balancing track the way that it starts in the heart chakra, where it helps to evoke feelings of love, belonging and gratitude.
Next, it moves to the throat chakra, where it helps to balance it and control it so that our communication is clear and kind.
It ends with the root chakra balancing, to smooth out the feelings of frustration, anger, and insecurity and ground us in beautiful feelings.

I'm thankful to my beautiful friend Claudiane, who inspired me to make this track 🙏🏼

Mahk Jchi is a powerful song written by the Native American women's group Ulali. The song is in a compilation of Tutelo and Saponi languages, now extinct dialects of the Sioux nation from the Ohio Valley. There is a commonly mistaken translation of this song widely circulated on the internet but the translation below has been confirmed by the artist. This song takes some investment in learning and is more complex for choral learning, but very do-able by oral-tradition and wonderfully worth it.

This is a mix of what I'm calling Brazilian devotional music. The vast majority of the country is Catholic, but the Christian faith is often fused with a deep nature awareness. It's hard to generalize a country as large and diverse as Brazil, but certainly the nature here is quite strong and I feel like much of the population is proud of that. The songs on this mix are sung by a sub-culture of people who spend a lot of time in nature and have cultivated a strong sense of connection with the earth. Many of these songs are sung in a mantra like way, like devotional hymns, often singing praises to nature, sometimes specifically evoking a nature spirit, or Orisha, like Yemanja, Oshun, or Nana. These names have come from African religions like Yoruba. A really interesting fusion has come about between African, indigenous, and Christian faith. Brazil is an incredibly diverse place and a rich culture. I hope I was able to convey just a small but special part of it.
