Composer-musician-psychologist-spiritual traveller. Music interests are multi-ethnic folk music, playing all instruments, in all original compositions. All compositions are copyright protected. Playing American (swing, trad jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, old-timey, folk), Celtic, African and Middle Eastern compositions. On guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo, frailing banjo, octave mandolin, slide guitar, kalimba, harmonica, percussion, hand drums and vocals.

The Empty Bottle Ramblers play traditional Cajun music from Southwest Louisiana. Tim Kness (accordion, vocals, fiddle) has longtime ties to this community as a dancer and musician; he's also begun making a name for himself forging Cajun triangles in the old style. Danny Birnbaum (upright bass), who likewise travels often to the Cajun parishes for visits and festivals, regularly lends his talents to old-time and country bands, as well. They first played together as EBR at the Augusta Heritage Center with Missy Roser (fiddle, vocals, accordion), who fell in love with Cajun music after a misspent youth of string quartets and orchestras. She and Erica Weiss (guitar, vocals)—well known as an old-time musician, caller, and dance instructor—are also longtime members of legendary Cajun musician Jesse Lége's band, Bayou Brew, appearing on the main stage of Festivals Acadiens et Créoles in Lafayette and festivals all over the Northeast.
