MIWA - My Haven EP [PD028]

As the saying goes "variety is the spice of life" and here
at Pineapple Digital, we put out music of different genres
and we are very proud to present to you MIWA's debut release
at PD! She hails all the way from Tokyo. 

She is a very popular singer & producer in Japan. Since 
childhood MIWA grew up in a classical music family, 
where her brother and is a classical pianist and aunt a 
classical singer, and pursued her music training in piano. 

Her demo was heard by Japanese labels and released few CDs 
in Japan, and with the releases she met GOTO of rockband 
Plagues and started music creation together, under the name 
of  BRAVEBIRD and MIWA & GOTO.

Soon she started collaborations and music creation for artists 
such as Joi, Cargo, Chris Brann of Ananda Project and 
Yugo Kanno(Soundtrack composer).

She recently had collaborations with Pavlin Petrov & Graham Lloris, 
Vintage Colors, Ian Vaslow.

She has released on a number of labels such as Makira Deep, 
BPM Records, Legion Music, and on Japanese labels such as Rambling 
Records, Common Ground Recordings, Philter/HMV/FrancFranc Records, 
PCI Music, Anchor (Sony), Warner Music Japan and VAP.

MIWA instills a serenity and beauty to her music like no other 
and evolves passion and grace to all who hear her music. 
With a voice so sensual and sultry like it was sent from the 
heavens and an ear for composing amazing music its an honour to have 
her on our 28th release.

Original Mix

Take a look into your soul and deep into its farthest
depths, find that magic place that gives you peace and 
hope of better days and happy times. This is exactly what 
this track does, its a piece of heaven portrayed in every 
note. MIWA's voice is angelic, sultry and unique and along
with the delicately keyed piano and intensely plucked strings
this is a slice of pure perfection.


Aitra Remix

Aitra brings us this remix all the way from her homeland of 
Kielce, Poland. She is Malgorzata Imiolek and has had prior
releases on the likes of Mistique, Electronic Tree and 
Progressive House Worldwide. Aitra adds a deep twist to
MIWA's work adding some drum work and pulling the keys down
a few notches for that deeper intensity. She throws in a few 
extra effects on the vocals and plunges the strings into a
realm of profound refinement. 

06R Remix

Ogura delivers a devastatingly fine downtempo, chillstep rework. 
Introducing epic chord work and a striking arp this flows so naturally 
to the ear and straight to the brain to leave an impacted imprint.

With the warm rays of summer shining on our faces, we felt it was high time to let loose this next release, as it is a superb production by the always loved and highly inspirational talent of Poland's very own musical whiz-kid - Mizar B. From Black To White was first featured this last winter on our seasonally themed Elliptical Sun Sampler, which received some stellar support from some large names and has always been an enormous favorite of ours from the day we heard it. So what better way to give a fine production like this some of its own spot light, than to give it a release of its own. But the fun never ends there with our newly given spotlight, because any production of this magnitude needs a little variety to accompany it, which is why we decided to look to two of our favorite artists here at ESM to take on these remix duties – Markus Hakala and D05. Both of these artists have proven in the past to be of a superior quality in the original production and remix department...and man did they ever hold up to that statement with these two remixes, which emphasize both beauty and power and are undeniably diverse in their own separate ways. We are really excited to bring this next pack of goodies to you all and can assure you there is much more to come from each of these artists in the near future.

Dave Pineda, from Toronto, Canada, the label 
owner of Pineapple Digital, with over 30 years 
of experience in the music industry and has 
been a professional dj for over 35 years now 
and counting. Dave is one of the few DJ's in 
the world that can play almost every genre of 
dance music effortlessly from the 70's to 
EDM. A turntablist at heart. He is called the 
Master DJ, "the DJ for all DJ's". 

Dave is known for his ecclectic taste in music 
and his mixes which takes the listener to an 
emotional journey that mesmerizes and 
captivates. When he is not busy running his 
label or doing podcasts, he would 
sometimes do in gigs all over the world. 

What sets him apart from other dj's is his 
intensity and knowledge of music that keeps 
peopleglued to the dance floor and what 
makes his live sets unique is he makes 
his own bootleg versions of popular tracks.
