The lack of control we’ve all experienced in the past year or so over what’s next appears to be here to stay for a while. This has been giving me a great deal of restlessness like everyone else lately, the fear that it’s never going to end. But luckily again, once more, I was able to appreciate whilst preparing this set how liberating this state of flux can be too. When you just let go and sail on, magic begins to happen. Or at least, even if it doesn’t, it’s a good endowment to be able to self-hypnotise yourself - so long as it makes you feel better as a person, and the world around you a better place to be in. We're excited about VDS Podcast Nr.022 - our last VDS Podcast for the year of 2022! Closing this amazing year with a seasonal atmospherical string-packed journey is none other than one of the heads behind the legendary Pingipung label, Mme Bing from Hamburg, Germany.

Mme Bing, aka Andrea Wienck, is a passionate vinyl collector. She has honed her musical taste while co-running the Pingipung label for over a decade, as well as by working in record shops. She prefers her melodies raw and gloomy, and she selects them very carefully - it’s a rare but always delightful moment to catch her live at the decks.

Dive into this beauty of strings, guitars and melancholic melodies, which Mme Bing herself calls “The heart as a paperweight”. Mme Bing recommends listening to this set with a purring cat on your chest.
