This track came from a completely different place than anything I've written before. I heard the line "better dead than sorry" in The Cruel Intentions' "Reapercussion" song and it just stuck with me - that philosophy of choosing risk over regret, action over safety.

What makes this one unique in my catalog is the experimental structure. Instead of my usual straightforward approach, I wanted to capture an internal argument - that moment when the cautious voice in your head battles with the reckless one pushing you toward the dangerous choice. The song starts deceptively calm with acoustic guitar, almost folk-like, before building into complete heavy metal chaos.

Musically, it's a journey from contemplation to commitment. The folk intro represents hesitation, weighing consequences, playing it safe. Then the aggressive guitars kick in and the reckless voice takes over - "screw your walls and your safe retreat, life ain't lived from a back seat." By the final chorus, the decision is made. The internal war is over. The reckless voice wins.

The artwork captures that exact moment - standing on the edge with your climbing rope and GoPro, documenting the choice to take the leap. It's about those people who'd rather risk everything for the experience than live safely and wonder "what if?" Urban explorers, BASE jumpers, anyone who's ever chosen adrenaline over security.

This represents a new direction for my songwriting - using AI to create distinct vocal contrasts and exploring that internal conflict between who we're told to be and who we really are. Sometimes playing it safe isn't living at all. Sometimes you really are better dead than sorry.

AI helped me experiment with a concept I couldn't have pulled off before - that dialogue between safety and risk, played out through contrasting musical styles and vocal approaches. It's probably my most ambitious track yet in terms of structure and storytelling.
