This week we are joined by Rick Van Santen, owner of the ever growing Deep Grooves brand. Residing in The Netherlands, he is hugely inspired by the Dutch house scene with his favourite artists being Prunk, Chris Stussy, Artmann and ANOTR but he does keep an eye on the London scene through artists such as Rossi.

His project, Deep Grooves, is a platform for artists (big and small) to not only perform but to discover new and exciting music whilst still keeping a high level of content through premieres and podcasts. Keeping it strictly deep house, Deep Grooves really are the creme de la creme of brands for us at The Cake Shop. The release contains 3 originals tracks, with solid basslines and fresh beats, 100% analog sounds from Nord, Roland HS60 and JP08 for the stabs.
The EP also includes a dope remix of Betoxic by the young Dutch bomber M-High, who adds emotional pads, some sticky notes on the melody and a unique piano solo.
