Johann Sebastian Bach Complete works for the Pipe Organ. Recorded in Surround Sound on 8 historic Silbermann Organs. This is a limited edition recording. 

This boxed set recording consists of 19 Super Audio SACDs, which will play on any CD-player.  It is accompanied by a 251-page book. It contains music notes written by the German musicologist Peter Wollny and Silbermann Organ expert Marc Schaefer. All of the organ’s stoplists are included as well as numerous excellent color photographs. The notes are in French, German and English.

Bach, out of his mind with grief after the sudden death of his wife (not to mention his siblings, parents and half of his 21 kids), wrote this piece for solo violin. Busoni later arranged it for piano.

Recording of Ken Cowan playing a Christmas Carol on the pipe organ at Our Lady of Refuge Church. This organ was just restored. This recording was made with Sound Devices Digital Recorder and a pair of Neumann KM 130 spaced 13" apart. Hats off to David Schopp of A.R. Schopp's Sons for restoring all of the 80 year old reeds that used to sound like a bunch of kazoos in heat.

Adeste Fideles played on the pipe organ at Our Lady Of Refuge by Ken Cowan

Ken Cowan came to visit Brooklyn NY and recorded a few things on the newly restored pipe organ at Our Lady of Refuge. The restoration was beautiful complete through the combined work of A.R. Schopp's Sons and Quimby Pipe Organs. (that is Mark Dwyer sitting next to Ken - I could not get a duet out of them)
