"Juno Review: A record that explores deep, hypnotic rhythms with a strong tribal and mystical undercurrent, the latest Siamese Twins records pushes the boundaries of what is possibly in eastern influences underground techno. Side-1 opens with 'The Golden Triangle', an atmospheric introduction that feels cinematic, setting the stage with ambient textures before giving way to movement. 'Lens of Time' follows, locking into a deep, primal groove where rolling percussion and rich low-end create an entrancing effect. On Side-2 'Mekong' leans into tribal mysticism, blending ancient rhythmic patterns with a modern pulse. The production is detailed yet raw, drawing from rich percussive layers. 'Ruak' closes the EP with pulsating bass and deep, rolling rhythms, channeling Eastern influences into a hypnotic techno flow. Lens of Time’ builds its pulse from unconventional percussive patterns, weaving together organic textures with GiGi FM’s ethereal vocals. As she explains, “We drew on traditional Thai instruments from the studio, blending them with live recordings of my voice—both for singing and percussive elements. Poetry added another layer, grounding the track with an emotional, almost narrative dimension.”

As GiGi FM reflects, “Our work together became about tapping into something much bigger than ourselves—this grand, cosmic interconnectedness. Time, for us, wasn’t linear—it felt collective and expansive, a thread connecting our experiences, traumas, and creative visions.”

There’s something oddly comforting in the idea of a dead star still sending signals — distant, mechanical, yet somehow filled with meaning. Inertia, and the record as a whole, tap into that contradiction: the sensation of being impossibly far from home, yet still drawn toward something vast, unseen, and filled with memory.

While it may feel banal to visually represent what a pulsar in space looks like, the idea behind the cover is to reimagine that perspective — as if observing time and space passing by from inside a starship made of stone. The design draws loosely from sci-fi, Art Deco, and Moebius-inspired aesthetics.
