In 2005, Zenon Records released the original Bush Food compilation, an all-Australian VA which was the progenitor of the ‘Bush-Prog’ sound we know and love today.

Almost 20 years later, we arrive with Vol.4 - an epic showcase of the evolution of this sound, featuring some of the freshest Australian bush-prog tunes currently on the scene!

Mutuality

This track was inspired by Lakej's masterclass. I followed his method to get grainy textures and tried to create more complex sounding elements and with a simple build, tension and release. Through recent upheaval the track reflects both the unease and clarity of moving through inner conflict.

His new Ep "The Mirror" is positively dripping with psychedelic sounds and jazz influenced melodies!

The "The Mirror" is part of a project designed by Aurelien Dornier aka Hypnotic Peafowl.

A project where the artist wants to create a narrative link between each published EP by revisiting the theme of Pandora's box and thus creating a guideline for the long term.

Pandora's box is a metaphor that symbolises the mind of peafowl, a very broad subject that will allow it to explore very different designations from one EP to another.

Structured like a play with intrigue, exhibition and outcome. Nothing is left to chance and each piece of music has a construction and a colour specific to the theme of the EP.

Here the first act "The Mirror" represents a positive conversation but it's up to you to make your own interpretation...
