Welcome to The Sunrise Mixtapes. Kicking off with a mix from yours truly (Plastic Fantastic), this mix is very much a hats-off to José Padilla. José was and still is a huge influence, in particular his early to mid nineties period as resident DJ at the now iconic Café Del Mar in Ibiza, where he would provide an eclectic, emotive, chilled-out and yet simultaneously powerful soundtrack to the setting sun. Anyone who was fortunate enough to be there back in the day will testify that they experienced something truly special. José sadly passed away in 2020, his musical legacy and pioneering spirit will live on. This mix is a loving tribute to José Padilla (1955-2020) - The Godfather Of Chill
