A track about going on an adventure, staying hydrated, and late night Wikipedia binges. 

This track was originally going to be split into two but we decided that it would work better as one track, so it has a big switch up part of the way through which gives it an adventurous vibe. It was initially conceived as two songs but for some reason we still made them in one project file, even at that point, which made the choice to eventually fuse them a lot easier. A lot of hours went into this, so please enjoy the track!!

Dirty Paradise

Original composition! I used a MIDI keyboard to play a text-to-speech with random syllables, then processed it through neural synthesis, layering over the separately-processed General MIDI backing track.

Yesterday I figured out how to make Riffusion sing on purpose and consistently, by using a free text-to-speech VST plugin, AlterEgo, as the guiding outline for the model to do its work. The same "realism enhancing" effect Riffusion has on chiptunes can be used on regular MIDI files or even text-to-speech voice. 

That is, we can now make vocaloid-type synthetic singers sound more "alive" in artistically interesting ways.
