"totally brilliant and best act of the year"  Debut EP out now on Bandcamp! The Third Voice combines the vocal harmony talents of folk songwriter Christina Mimmocchi, Afro-Cuban specialist Clarita Derwent (Charanga Libre, Son Veneno, Sandunga) and Carpathian music maven Gemma Turner (The Transylvaniacs, Strike & String).  Common to all  is that they were members long ago of the well-loved Blindman's Holiday, although at different times spanning two decades. With this new group, guitar, concertina, percussion and live-looping are part of the mix.Born out of the pandemic the first 4 tracks posted here were recorded  remotely, with live launch December 2021. I most recently composed the score for Dexter: New Blood.  I've written music for Rocko's Modern Life, SpongeBob, Class of 3000 and many other cartoons. I've also composed the scores for HBO's Bored To Death, Showtime's Nurse Jackie and many other films and t.v. shows. I was a member of the B-52s, Raybeats, and 8 Eyed Spy. I've got a new band called SUSS and we play Pastoral Psychedelicism. We've got three LPs out on Northern Spy and a new EP, Night Suite, was released in November, 2021. I Stay tuned for more!

Phillip Johnston is an American/Australian jazz musician who lives in Sydney Australia. He is best known for The Microscopic Septet, Fast 'N' Bulbous, and as a composer for film and silent film.
