Award-winning singer-songwriter Edie Carey wrote the title track of her critically-acclaimed 8th studio album "The Veil" just days after she and her kids were involved in a serious car accident and about two months before the world would close down due to COVID. In part of that song “the veil” refers to the thin shroud of security we think we have between us and danger, and how terrifying it can be when it is suddenly torn away. Soon after the shutdown Carey dug into composing the rest of this “collection of articulate, highly personal songs” (At The Barrier). The Veil is an intimate and unguarded exploration of what it means to be a woman, a mother after years of infertility, a daughter, and a writer at time when nothing feels certain. These songs examine how difficult it is for us to see ourselves as others do; they explore the painfully delicate barrier between life and death; they consider the veil as it relates to marriage – a profoundly good one – and one that is fraying at the seams. In this collection, Carey marvels at the space between who we are now and who we’ve been, but ultimately The Veil feels like it’s meant “to mother you, to lift up those nurturing relationships that have the power to re- center us all.” (Folk Alley)

Edie was a featured lead vocalist on Joanie Leeds' 2020 Grammy-Winning ensemble album "All The Ladies" along with Lisa Loeb and Lucy Kalantari.

What does it take to get that sound just right? It takes massive time, effort and overcoming obstacles. 
And that's exactly what Pj acheived with his latest EP - Something out there.

For so many, COVID was a restrictive lockdown. Away from stage and performing, a cross to bear for music makers.
For Pj Tobin, the universe opened a door and created the possibility to make music he had always wanted.
Creating songs in his home studio while working remotely for two years with the Californian producer Gary Gray on an album that both are proud to present to the world.
Crazy how restrictions force you to find ways to overcome. And every now and then, they reveal new opportunities.

The upcoming EP, 'Something Out There' is a deep dive into love, connection and the unknown within us.

Blessed to have worked and written songs with musicians having achieved hits in the UK charts. pj is a multi-instrumentalist and experienced music producer. Capable of writing on-demand and to the needs of tv and film scripts.
