Red Deviil is an electronic music project from Mexico. The duo define their style as an hybrid between “raw & fat sounds”, inspired by EBM, Techno & Industrial genres.

Their first album contains 11 tracks, in which they define through their sound the chaotic situation that we are currently living in “Inframundo”.

Stroboscopic Artefacts returns with another strong addition to its Totem series, a unique set of releases pressed on transparent 10” vinyl, capturing the essence and effusiveness of multidimensionality of club culture. Bridging the gap between the worlds of sound and material objects, Totem is a series that aims to meld the artistic resonance of each forthcoming release into an emblematic representation of the sounds that are to be presented, clearly within the grooves seen and heard on the 10”. Stepping up for the third release in the series is Berlin legend Efdemin — bringing a three-track journey that is unequivocally enduring and flexible for journeys on-and-off the dancefloor.

While each track shares the same title, the textures and traits are different — with the A1, “Circles” setting things up with pertinent percussion and staccato synth lines; as Efdemin sways towards another side with “Left” — a heady, hedonistic thumper with exuberant melodic bursts; followed by a therapeutic sequel with “Right” — closing out the release with a melange of spacious efficacy, something the Berlin-based producer has been known for throughout his near-two-decade career. Between releasing for the likes of Ostgut Ton, Curle, Dial, and his own imprint Naïf; Efdemin takes on the challenge of Totem’s conceptual subjugation and subverts it with his emotionally honest take on a stimulating and subdural sonic experience within three parts. Narratively dense and expertly-paced, the Totem series carries on with another outer-worldly insertion to its catalog.

The ongoing importance of this album is indisputable, essential both to techno and to Tresor. It is a history intertwined. This work elevates its maker as master, and remain a cherished moment in the Tresor story, sharing an irrefutable singular magic, sounding as present and indispensable as when first created. To understand this work fully is to stand back and celebrate its impact.

Originally released in 1994, ‘Internal Empire’ marks a point of transition for Robert Hood moving on from his previous collaborations within Underground Resistance. Robert Hood advanced uncovering the power of true minimalism. Deep soul through a simplicity that showed how much could be done with so little. The devastating rhythms of this album forge the unmatched spirit of this sound, influencing generations to come.

"25 years ago, I was faced with the challenge of following up on 'Minimal Nation’. I cancelled all my tour dates for that summer, setup my studio in the living room and began to work on 'Internal Empire'. My intention was to create something distinctively different. Looking out my living room window in Detroit watching people go by gave me a new perspective. It made me look at the world within myself. 25 years later I am still discovering.” – Robert Hood

Pittsburgh resident Shawn Rudiman releases his debut EP on Tresor Records. Titled Autonomic Pilot, it features shifting tables of subliminally orchestral synths and rich drum textures that spawn new voyages.

A bold approach underlines ‘KNSR’, where saturated acid manipulates the cinematic intent of the brassy synth strokes. Too Far Gone goes for the interstellar, featuring insistent, playful percussion amidst widescreen resonances before resolving into a cerebral workout of Rudiman’s trademark machine funk. ‘Erotique Feedback’ shows Rudiman honing his focus into what will no doubt be a regular in clubs - a 303-oriented electro trip, a synaptic drive into glittering acid bliss.

On the B-side, the mind magic of ‘Past The Edge’ shifts outside, bringing a sunrise for those who reinvent the possibilities of the day. ‘Eyes Forward’ is a techno banger, forcefully pointing in the direction of travel and shutting the door behind. Ascending effortlessly, Rudiman motors into essential repetition. ‘Backwards Tomarrows’ brings an industrial feel, almost obscuring melodies and cadences that recalls the galactic innovations of the Detroit sound.

The studio is Rudiman’s vehicle, the weapon and the balm. From synthetic wonders to dark-warehouse drum missives, Autonomic Pilot proves once again Rudiman as a master of his craft. Tresor Records is proud to welcome his new work into the world.

Berghain favorite Marcel Dettmann has announced a new label, BAD MANNERS. It is the German's second label, having started Marcel Dettmann records in 2006.

The first release - 'BAD MANNERS 2' - is a four-track EP from @exterminador_records, the production and DJ alias of Berlin-based music educator Mario Resta, which is due for release in mid-September.

Ahead of the release, Dettmann and Exterminador have handed over the new EP's lead track 'Bleeding From The Inside' for a premiere. It's a high-octane electro-funk exercise with crisp phasers and metallic vocals that pump the sound through your veins with hardy aggression.

трип presents ‘locus error’, a new double vinyl concept album. Moving beyond the scope of the traditional, arbitrarily compiled VA, трип's conceptual approach brings together a range of artists around a uniting theme, supplying a sense of cohesion and narrative thrust.
Like Noel Saavedra’s accompanying artwork, the narrative is vibrant yet nightmarish, a vision of classic trance music, including its psy side, refracted through трип's fearless, oddball aesthetic. Nina Kraviz sets the tone with 'test'. Kyoka’s ‘link’ coaxes you in with suggestive murmurs from all angles like an auditory hallucination. Ryan James Ford and ANTIGONE make label debuts, while SOPHIE and Juliana Huxtable unite for the first time as Analemma - a formidable pairing with an abstract offering, merging trance elements, metallic and corporeal sound design with vintage euphoria.
трип misfits PTU do their best to upset your sense of time and meter with two modern psy trance interpretations. Carlota contributes the nervously optimistic title track. Alan Backdrop’s hair and pulse raising yet classy ‘nizaj’ clears the way for the grand finale: X-Dream’s murky, mesmeric and minimalistic genre classic ‘superintelligence’. On the digital a ‘clever mix’ that was previously unreleased outside Japan will be released. Masters sit alongside newcomers to the form, on an LP for dancers deep in a fugue state.

Now carelessly jumping about exhausted, along the never-ending planes of scorching sand. Her skin had taken the victim to the flaring sun, blazing in the scorching heat for hours. Now in panic mode, she is fighting for her life, she can’t admit it to herself yet but all the water's gone. Gone hours ago. She's dizzy and dehydrated, where is she? She has no idea.

Rome-based label Raw Culture are back with their long-awaited annual compilation, the fourth in their series RAW CULTURE’S PUSHERS. Described as their ‘NON-SUMMER COMPILATION - NON-REGGAETON SHIT’, it’s a story telling eighteen-tracker made up of ‘Pushers’ from all over the world ranging right across the board, touching on everything from mind-boggling ambient to devilish electro. Our pick is an aggressive yet harmonic EBM track by Zarkoff entitled 'Endless'. One for the dance floor, it utilises raw tones and crunchy heavy-hitting drums machines, complemented perfectly by the soft synth lead.
