A beautiful remix of a standout record from the catalogue of Brazilian D&B icon DJ Marky, Shogun Audio is proud to present a remix of 'Poetry' from one of the most highly respected producers in the drum and bass scene, Makoto. 

With a deep musical connection between the pair,  DJ Marky & Makoto have collaborated and released a whole series of tracks together across the years. Makoto's spin on DJ Marky & SOLAH’s ‘Poetry’, one of the many timeless tracks from Marky's 2023 album 'The Time Is Right', sees the producer sprinkle his feel-good, soul-drenched signature across the song from start to finish. 

This remix is also part of the 20 Years Of Shogun Audio LP, a 20-track deep album that features 10 exclusive remixes of our catalogue’s most legendary releases alongside 10 pieces of groundbreaking new music from a selection of drum and bass’ most exciting talents.

Hot off the heels of his ‚Something For The Weekend‘ EP that smashed it up at the start of this year, Serpnt now brings us the ‚Show Dem‘ EP that again shows a producer ahead of the curve, bringing some serious crispness to all those who need it. 

Sounding tidy on the boards, the young producer melds a contemporary sound with jungle and rave influences in such a way that was obviously going to prick up the ears over here at CIA. We know these tunes do some proper damage on the floor, but also are going to keep sounding good for the foreseeable. To find that kind of refined and defined sound is not an easy thing to do, and so we knew this was music that needed to be on the label. 

Serpnt is bringing the big bad vibes right now, and you’re hearing the freshest of them on CIA.
