This is a really old remix of the amazing Trademark (http://www.trademark-online.co.uk/) that I did with legendary producer and engineer K-Complex at the controls.  Pete was instrumental in teaching me how to produce and mix; you can still hear some similarities in our styles today.

Solid Steel (22nd November) The Amorphous Androgynous (aka The Future Sound of London) grace us with a selection of tracks and inspirations from their newly released albums, 'The Cartel' vol, 1&2. Based around the theme of 'Psychesploitation' - a mix of funky 70's cop soundtracks and fuzzed up Blacksploitation flicks - it's the sound of Get Carter's swinging London and the sleazy San Francisco of Dirty Harry. DJ Food takes us down a dark, synthetic future route full of esoteric pieces more at home in sci-fi soundtracks and public information films. Here's a remix of Bravely Default I did recently! Absolutely love this game and its characters. This is kind of a house / electro style remix of the theme that plays on the overworld map. If you like RPGs / JRPGs, you've got to try this game!

Bravely Default - The Horizon Of Light And Shadow (Dj CUTMAN Remix)

Solid Steel (11th April) It's another special show this week, as we celebrate 30 years of Acid with an incredible mix by Posthuman to coincide with their last I Love Acid club night at Corsica Studios, London on Saturday 12th April. This is what they say about the mix;
"We put together this mix (with a little help from fellow I Love Acid residents Mark Archer & Placid) to celebrate 30 years of acid. 
We decided to pick one track per year, since 1984 - the year Roland stopped making the 303. Starting with Chicago House, expanding out into Detroit Techno and the evolutions in the acid sound from the UK & Europe, then into the late 90's Warp/Rephlex territory, right up to the present day."
The mix starts with Chris & Cosey's 1984 classic "Dancing Ghosts" and includes tracks from Phuture, 808 State, UR, Plastikman, AFX and Luke Vibert, who will be playing at the club night, plus their own new track 'Back to Acid'

Solid Steel (16th May)This week the show has a distinct 80's feel about it starting with a mix from Cut Chemist featuring remixes and songs from 'Funk Off', a compilation of music by 1980's French post punk, industrial, minimal collective Vox Populi! and Pacific 231. Cut Chemist discovered their material in 2004 while on tour/record digging in Milan where he picked up a compilation featuring their track “Megamix”. Originally released in the 80s, the track was not rooted in disco, hip hop & DJ history but rather post punk and industrial influences. Music Concrete is what the collective would have perhaps described their approach at the time. “Wild Style on dust” was how Cut’s collaborator Tom Fitzgerald described it on hearing it 20 years later. Finding this record ultimately led to Cut Chemist tracking down the group, bonding over shared aesthetics and getting their blessing for this collection, which includes unreleased tracks, photographs and little-seen flyers and art from the group. The vinyl and CD are released in the UK on 9th June through A Stable Sound.
 
DK picks up the reigns in a similar vein, but starting with Illum Sphere's industrial edged Spectre Vex and then it's strictly 80's, including music from the UK that directly influenced Vox Populi, with tracks from Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire and A Certain Ratio. Music from New York also features with Liquid Liquid and Death Comet Crew featuring Rammellzee and Italy's version of Delia Derbyshire, synth wizard Doris Norton, plus the Francois Kevorkian produced collaboration between Jah Wobble and Holger Czukay.

Plaid (pronounced \ˈplad\) are the London based electronic music duo Andy Turner & Ed Handley. They are two of the founding members of The Black Dog, releasing their first EP in 1989 and signing to Warp Records in 1991. They have used many other pseudonyms including; Atypic, Repeats and Balil, but have focusing on Plaid since 1995. They have released 11 studio albums as Plaid, from 1991's 'Mbuki Mvuki', to 2022's 'Feorm Falorx'. 

Various sources claim they took their name “Plaid” from the Welsh word for “Party”.
