I heard the voice of the Lord
Saying, Whom shall I send?
I heard the voice of the Lord
Saying, Who will go for us?
And I said, I’m here, send me, Lord.
I pour out the cost of my life;
My future is vain—my destiny’s Christ;
Christ is everything!

The people who know their God
Will rise up and show strength!
People who thus know their God
Will take action and move!
We will spread You, Lord, through the earth.

I Heard The Voice Of The Lord

1 Corinthians 10:4 And all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of a spiritual rock which followed them, and the rock was Christ.

Exodus 17:6 I will be standing before you there upon the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it so that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

Numbers 20:11 Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his rod twice, and abundant water came forth, and the assembly and their livestock drank.

John 19:34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For also in one Spirit we were all baptized into one Body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and were all given to drink one Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the rock smitten,
Who was struck to save me from sin.
Living water did from Him burst,
And streamed forth to allay my thirst.

He's the rock who's following me!
He just wants me to take a drink.
And now I am never alone!
I'm followed by this living stone.

When I'm thirsty to Him I speak,
Then He gives me abundant drink.
As the rock He is standing by,
To flow out to me His supply.

So I know wherever I go,
I can drink His life-giving flow.

Giving His life abundantly.

If deep down you are feeling dry,
There's a way to have His supply—
God wants you to speak to the rock,
All the time in your daily walk.

Open your mouth—speak to the Lord!
Then the water will be outpoured.

Waiting to give you a drink true.

And we know wherever we go,
We can drink His life-giving flow.

Flowing out His life bounteous.
