corsic is the sample based project of justin pinkerton. for this project pinkerton, a multi-instrumentalist,  relies solely on vinyl samples and the occasional turntable cut to create tracks that live in a world of their own.

Formed in 1997, The Roots of Orchis have released five full length albums and an EP. Their songs have been included on numerous radio and television programs and they have toured the US extensively. They have shared the stage with such bands as Tortoise, Michael Rother & John Frusciante, The Album Leaf, Black Mountain, Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, The Black Heart Procession and many others. The band is currently inactive.
