Next up we have the wonderful new winter warmer from La Belle Records with El Buho's gorgeous remix of Akkan's 'Kai'. 
The Parisian, El Buho takes it down a notch from the hi octane psychedelia of the original to deliver a winter warmer which soothes those January blues and ignites the soul. A slow motion take on the original which could quite easily accompany a balearic sunset complete with waves and pads and the subtle hint of acid.

Kai EP

PREMIERE | AKKAN - Kai (El Buho Remix) [La Belle Records] 2019

In February 2020, DJs, Producers and friends Johannes Klingebiel & Julian Stetter were invited to spend a month as artists in residence at Galera, a cultural centre in the heart of Mexico City. Whilst playing at festivals and clubs around the country, they spent time collaborating on new productions making full use of the centre’s well equipped studios. 

‘Galera EP’ pays homage to an eclectic focal point of music, culture and community. The release’s broad experimental reach and melancholic subtleties take influence from underground dance music, with a certain irregularity (all signals were recorded and tweaked in real time) building into the vivid and warm sound of the EP.

Cover artwork by London-based artist Mary Herbert. At the Centre pays tribute to the EP’s production and sound, continuing the artist’s ‘exploration of memory and sensation’ which shift ‘between the recognised and the unknown’.
