This recording captures Charlton’s live modular set at the first MORPH event, held on June 27, 2025, at OT301 in Amsterdam.
Charlton delivered a fully improvised performance using his modular system and a Roland TR-505. Harsh distortion, broken rhythms and high-impact energy defined the set — rooted in the raw, uncompromising techno tradition he’s been shaping for years.

Every sound was built live on the spot: unpredictable, powerful, and completely in the moment.

Jamie Anderson was born in London and raised in a musical environment, eventually relocating to Bristol in the mid 80’s, where he continued training in improvisation with jazz pianist Dave Buxton for several years. Whilst performing in local bands and working in a Bristol record shop during the early 1990s, he developed a deep love for electronic music and turntablism, fusing elements of acid house, funk, Latin, and Detroit techno into his craft.

In 1997, Anderson founded the label Artform, making his solo debut with the Prototype EP. In 2001, he released his first full-length album Blue Music on NRK, followed by the mix CD Nite:Life 013 and key tracks such as “Black Sun,” “Player Hater,” and “Rebel Sound.” His productions and remixes also appeared on respected labels including Rotation, Cocoon, Fossil Archive, 100% Pure, and Flash Recordings.

Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Jamie Anderson became a fixture on the global DJ circuit, performing at major international events and building a devoted following for his energetic DJ sets and live performances. He collaborated with fellow artists such as Jerome, Dave Angel, Jesse Rose, K. Alexi, Lee Pattison, and Owain K—releasing standout singles like “Body Jackin’” and “Cyclone,” and refining his signature groove-driven sound.

With his Artform Studio based in Berlin since 2014, Anderson continues to evolve his craft—collaborating with artists including Robert Owens, R.M.K., Daniel Haaksman, and Kapote on numerous high-quality studio productions. He remains active as a DJ, performing across Europe and around the globe.

In the early 80s I began to spin my Dad´s Kraftwerk records when I was still a little boy...
In 1989/90 I got infected with Dance Music/Techno Music!
In 1999 I discovered Italo-Disco and it really had a big influence on my life and my taste of music... 
Music is one of my biggest passions and I want to play and share the music I like.
I am pretty much a "vinyl only" DJ and almost every mix on this page is done mainly with vinyl or only a few CDs involved!I am inspired by too many to mention.
Just thankful that I can play all these great records and marvellous music by great artists,producers,DJs,musicians!
