An ambition like Tom Marshall’s. A fan favourite on the roster of renowned UK label Anjunadeep and one of the breakout stars of the melodic house scene, Marsh has sculpted a distinctly warm, emotional sound since he first emerged in the mid-2010s. Inspired by his teenage love of the emotionally rich, early 2000s trance sound and the musicality of crossover drum & bass acts like Pendulum, he’s distilled these disparate influences into a captivating and soulful signature style.

Hello fellow groovers. Today in charge of the sunset decks is an upcoming talent who goes by the name Moloquai. Originally from Italy but living in the heart of the Swiss mountains in the Canton of Valais, and when you think of wanting some proper groovy house sounds to transition from day to night time, look no further than this mix. 

A mix that means a lot to Moloquai because of his process of carefully selecting the right tracks, and as all music diggers know, the time and dedication it takes to put together 90 minutes of quality music is a work of art in itself. The transitions are silky smooth and and the tracks build up nicely to get you from sipping on cocktails to dancing with that cocktail in your hand.

As promised we are back on a regular basis. Having heard Xia Ke's live mixes earlier this year, it was a matter of time before we heard some slow tech grooves blended with some moody downtempo basslines on the channel. Founder of the wicked label Autumn Equinox (@autumnequinoxlabel), Xia Ke knows all about discovering the hidden gems within niche genres of electronic music and once you click play and just let yourself ride along on his musical journey, you will discover something fresh, new and in simple words bad ass! What is different about this mix is that it starts fast paced and slows down as you go along. 

When it comes to putting a "type" of music to Xia's style it would be along the lines of "orientempo" as described by himself where he experiments with a soundscape that is unique to him. It would be hard to classify with any current downtempo sub genre, which is exactly why we love it as it is different. In today's "music" world, being different is so important to ensure we remain creative! Now you have some background information, click play and listen, groove, bob your head and enjoy!

Initiating as well as terminating different periods. This mix was recorded during the New Moon in the beginning of October and represents not only the shift into a new lunar cycle but also the slow shift from the super dynamic & high energy summer season into the shorter, slower and cosier days of autumn and winter. It’s time to decelerate and journey into oneself. Let’s reflect and process all that happened during the spring & summer months of 2024. Continually riding the smooth wave of 94 BPM, this mix is a trip through some very hypnotic, deep and organic downtempo that genuinely affected me all throughout the year and especially recently.
