During summer lockdown 2021, it was forbidden to have dancing at parties. And so when exemplary north-east London record shop Hidden Sounds asked me to DJ at a sitting-down event, it seemed like the perfect workaround, and a wonderful excuse to explore some deep corners of my record collection. 
Think blankets, incense, rugs, chess, cushions, fungi, tea and 50 people laying around in a cosy space for a psychedelic, horizontal, evening listening session - pure bliss!

This week’s Delayed with… mix shines a light on the Milanese crew behind Techno Space Bar and one of their resident DJs, DJ Church. Techno Space Bar is a cozy party that’s brought in some familiar names from our orbit, like Orion, Alex Albrecht, and Noc:turne, alongside a solid lineup of local talent. They’ve got some interesting plans in the works, so if you’re into deep, thoughtful electronic music, give them a follow.

For this mix, DJ Church delivers a warm and atmospheric trip through a deep and melodic house. It’s the kind of set that works best in the daytime - relaxed, immersive, and just what you need when the world feels a little too heavy. An hour to unplug, breathe, and float. And as one of the tracks in the mix reminds us—do easy.

DJ Church shared a few words about the mix:
“I recorded this mix alone at home, drinking some nice red wine, cradled by melancholy and hope. Thinking about all the beautiful memories of special people I’ve met at parties around the world—smiling, dancing, sharing everything, the highs and the lows.
These moments, even the challenging ones, make life worth it. Thanks to all my friends who share their lives with me on the dancefloor. Hope we can all dance together again—maybe in Milan at one of our cozy Techno Space Bar nights, or wherever there’s light in the world. And if there isn’t any, we’ll bring it.”

IREMTOURFM 02 - erensu invites Vlada @ Transcendence 2025

Our Belgian connection runs deep, built on shared moments, mutual admiration, and a steady stream of talent that never seems to dry up. The latest to surface is Ben Kamal: Brussels-based DJ, promoter, and soon-to-be label boss. In recent years, Ben has been a staple in clubs like C12, Fuse, and Funke, as well as festivals like Paradise City and Horst. He’s carved out a sound that’s both precise and personal, equal parts deep, minimal, and melancholic. As a resident of Lola Haro’s Small Steps series and curator of nights at bis.club, he’s been steadily shaping a mood, a narrative, a space. And with the first release on his new label ov guidance about to drop, featuring a.brehme and signall kommt (aka z@p), that space is about to get even more defined.

Listening to the mix Ben made for us feels like watching dusk fold into night in slow motion. The arc is patient, but the details are razor-sharp: fluttering hats, muted basslines, strange shadows between the kick and the silence. There’s movement, but it’s not linear. It loops, it lingers, it pulls you inward. It’s not about big moments, it’s about micro-decisions that add up to something more enduring. Call it dusk-lake energy. Call it perfect for the other side.
