Eight years since their debut release, Moscow-based label Resonance return with 'Beyond Dualism', the latest offering from Basel-based producer Tim Shatnyy...'Eyes' is a striking example of Shatnyy’s ability to craft cerebral, percussive landscapes that draw you deeper into the void. Fragmented rhythms pulse with a ritualistic urgency, whilst ethereal melodies float between the space like broken thoughts. As the track develops, the tension between industrial drones and transient synths creates a space where time becomes elastic, a state of suspended consciousness where the boundaries between the real and the insubstantial begin to dissolve.

This EP is a sonic exploration that embraces 3 distinct styles linked by the versatility of the analogue sounds. It kicks off with an ever-evolving ambient track, “A painless way to operate” that presents a crystal-like soundscape, which in the second track, “Noodlesoup” is transformed into a glitchy percussion driven live jam. The third one, “DustBowl” gradually raises the energy levels towards a more dancefloor oriented dubtechno recording. At the end of the EP, the ground shaking bassline and the broken beats of Backflip In Time will guarantee that you lose yourself in its groove.

Forks of lightning ripped through the sky in fluorescent colours of purple and white, lacing the aether with bolts of electricity. From the cliff top the sky felt expansive, mirroring the choppy waters below that stretched further than the eye could see. She stood on the precipice and gazed down into the murky depths, becoming lost momentarily in its dark void. It should have seemed terrifying, but for her this was the most magical place to be during the height of the storm.

Four years on from his Time Tunnel release, UK-based producer Brassica returns to Feel My Bicep with Crystal Sea. Also marking the first label release of the year, the four tracker connects the dots between 90s electronica, 80s synth, 70s prog and 60s experimental electronics, exploring the narratives of music-past. Each track on the EP flaunts his expertly honed production techniques with a refined vision, both looking back to his early memories of dance music whilst dreaming of new musical realms and embarking on the beginning of a new chapter.
