Undeniably demanding, occasionally straining, but often rewarding and invariably reassuring. In nuce, this is the existential rollercoaster rode by anyone willing to partake in this world of merry music we all strive to keep in motion and feed with emotion for the sole purpose of creating some magic moments that, if not wholly life changing, can be vastly mind altering and deeply heartwarming. However, as far as descriptions go and as honest and earnest as these are, descriptions rarely do justice to the most precious aspects of what is involved here. And this engulfs quite a lot of efforts carried out through manifold fronts that happen to find an outlet in this special space that serves as much more than a place for the meeting of forces, it is a catalyst for possibilities, allowing for the collision of intentions and the fusion of visions. Each episode aims at presenting the results of these encounters, all of them widely varied in terms of the rhythms they include and wildly vivid in the scenes they introduce. So, when we have a guest whose artistic presence is as multifarious as Samwise's, the potential for greatness is enhanced. As a gifted selector, he can be heard sharing his musical knowledge and taste at some of the finest festive initiatives around the globe, as well as helming his own Fast At Work events. His contribution to the series is a mind-opening and world-revealing trip across eclectic and ecstatic soundscapes.

In Berlin, the end of July means one thing: CSD, AKA Christopher Street Day. Commemorating New York's historic Stonewall Riots of 1969, this raucous weekender is a yearly celebration of the queer community and LGBTQIA+ rights.

The Irish DJ and podcast host Cormac is committed to documenting queer history. As host of Queerly Beloved, he conducts candid interviews with queer DJs and producers about the music industry, sexuality and mental health. But in this week's RA Exchange, Cormac is the one on the couch. 

He speaks about growing up gay in a conservative Irish town and navigating homophobic environments as a young person. He found solace in the dance music scene—which he said saved him—but he also found drugs and alcohol, which he used to manage his battle with depression and shame. Many years of substance abuse forced him to go sober and to prioritise his mental health. Cormac said he worried that quitting partying would end his sex life and music career. Instead, it was just the beginning. 

Over the course of more than two decades, Cormac has accumulated a loving legion of fans as a DJ, known for playing disco, 80s high NRG and flamboyant tunes that he describes as "poppers music." His label Polari—a reference to the secret language used by queer people throughout history—will release his new single, "Gone," on July 25th, with remixes from Ewan Pearson and Fred Terror. Daniel W. Best first heard Louis Baker, a New Zealand-based soul singer, perform "Keep On" as the opening act for Fat Freddy's Drop at the Tempodrom in Berlin in 2024. He knew he wanted to create a remix package of the song. His label partner, Andre Lodemann, was also impressed when he heard the track, so he did a remix himself. DJ Philippa and Hollis P. Monroe also delivered amazing remixes. There is something for everyone here. Louis Baker is one of New Zealand’s most compelling voices in modern soul. Steve Bug presents Play - mixed by Kittin

Estroe & Nuno Dos Santos go a long way back as friends and musical collaborators. Years ago it started with the track Second Thoughts, produced by the two of them.
After many comments and requests from Soundcloud followers to release the track Estroe and Nuno decided to both make their own interpretation of the original and asked Terrace to do a remix.

The result are three different versions, according to each own insights. Finally label mate Stefan Robbers let his Terrace artist profile loose on it so we can present a nice mixture of moody, dreamy deep sound tracks.
