Heutzutage ist die Verführung eines aufgeblähten Egos groß. Man findet unzählige Gründe sich über andere Menschen zu erheben und sich selbst für etwas besseres zu halten. Diese Tendenz lässt sich sowohl gesamtgesellschaftlich, als auch im kleinen beobachten. Selbstverständlich hat das menschliche Ego eine unverkennbare Daseinsberechtigung. Es macht uns lebens- und überlebensfähig, es dient als Schutzwall und als Motor für unsere Handlungen und Taten. Problematisch wird es erst dann, wenn Egotrips dem Gemeinwohl in die Quere kommen. Eine überzogenes Ego nimmt dem Menschen die Weitsicht und den Blick für das große Ganze. Wie so oft ist auch hier die Balance gefragt und gefordert. In gewissen Situationen ist eine Entscheidung für das Kollektiv, auch die gewinnbringendste Wahl für einen selbst. Ein Perspektivwechsel kann einem da buchstäblich die Augen öffnen.
