Daniel Aparicio's music is transformative and danceable meditating, under the alias 'DVNIEL' the Mexican DJ, Plurpura Records member and producer reflects his internal sonic world into playful, powerful fusions providing the listening experience, filled up with experimental compasses and warm dreamy textures that walk purposefully into electronic music’s boardwalk.

This 220th edition is (literally) an odissey, on a visceral level, through a 208min session  in his studio DVNIEL in a startling precision of thought and sound conceived a selection surrounded by a a sense of stillness and gravity. We start on the floor crawling like babies, then leisurely the dance come to our hearts and we have to be sure to break with the beat, programs, patterns, ideas and everything that keep us in de 4x4 monotony before waking up from this dream.

On this gloriously sunny day in July, the wizard was standing on a high mountain in the Black Forest, a vantage point with a spectacular view over the Rhine valley and the Vosges mountain range, which dominated the Western horizon.  He was on his way to his fiancée, the little witch who is living in her forest in Flanders, and the Vosges is the last mountain ridge which separates him from his girlfriend.  It’s still 300 miles to go, but for a giant (2m40) wizard that’s no big deal, especially after returning from a 9 month trip to his ancestral village in the African Rainforest.  
The wizard was in a frisky mood and descended to the river Rhine, while whistling some age-old African songs between his teeth.  That day it was really hot in the Rhine valley, reminding him of the scorching heat of the African Savanna.  When the overheating wizard finally reached the river Rhine, he didn’t hesitate for one second, slipped out of his clothes and waded into the refreshing water.  He quickly found out that the current of the mighty river was pretty strong, but he didn’t worry and let the water sweep him away, floating gently in northern direction, shortening his trip by a few miles in the process.  Finally, a couple of hours later he reached the other side of the river, where two herons were waiting for him with his clothes.  After that, he decided to rest in the shadow of huge oak tree and spent the night in the company of a flock of friendly sheep.
The next morning, the wizard got up very early, gave a goodbye hug to all the sheep and set off for a new day of hiking.  It was a pleasant walk in this remote area, only crossing the path of one Swiss guy who was hiking the 63 miles from Basel to Colmar.  Soon the giant left the Rhine valley behind him, and the endless wheat fields made way for a lush green forest, while the road got steeper and narrower.  A few hours later he was already halfway up the slopes of the Vosges mountains, and he was happy to find out it was not as hot as in the Rhine Valley.  Luckily, it was the blueberry season, so the wizard ate quite a lot of these delicious berries, which gave him fresh energy.  When the sun was going down, he followed a little stream and entered a particularly beautiful section of the forest.  He started to look for a place for the night, when the path led to small clearing where a young witch with red hair and mesmerizing green eyes was waiting for him, with an owl sitting on her arm.  The witch smiled at him and told that they all had been waiting for him.  She added ‘Welcome to the annual parliament of owls … you are the special guest this year’.
The wizard looked around and in every tree he saw dozens of owls from all kinds of species :  burrowing owls, tawny owls, great horned owls, barn owls … and even a couple of snowy owls who had flown all the way from Archangelsk.  He had never seen such an impressive gathering of birds.  After a few minutes the red-haired witch stretched out her arm and immediately a Eurasian eagle-owl landed on her arm.  The eagle-owl was the oldest member of the parliament, so he was unanimously appointed as the speaker.  Now the session could begin…

Sound Shapes is a musical identity born in Milan, derived from the perfect and complementary fusion of the two founders, Simone Nai and Cristian Blaj, with Thai and Romanian roots.

In 2016 they started collaborating and creating their own sound. forged on sharp deep beats and driving bass lines flavored with organic and spiritual spices, mixing electronic sounds and ancestral rhythms.

Ein untypisches Weihnachtsfest

Die Weihnachtszeit hat heute ihren Höhepunkt erreicht. Das Fest ist in diesem Jahr definitiv ganz anders, als es sonst so war. Der Kreis wird auf die engsten Familienmitglieder beschränkt und innerhalb der heimischen Vierwände, sich beschenkt. So manche Tradition wird diese Weihnachten gebrochen, so haben die Kirchen und Gebetshäuser kollektiv geschlossen. Vieles läuft an diesem Heiligabend ungewöhnlich ab, doch so manches bleibt auch altvertraut. Geschenke laden unterm Baum, und auf den Weihnachtsumtrunk verzichten die Meisten, wohl kaum. Es wird gut gegessen und viel gelacht, irgendwie wird aus eigenartig, dann doch passend gemacht. Man nennt Weihnachten nicht umsonst Zeit der Besinnlichkeit, also lasst uns dankbar sein für Familie, Freunde, Wohlstand und Gesundheit.

Der heutige Podcast ist eine Weihnachts-Spezialausgabe bereitgestellt und gemixt von Käpt‘n 12 & Düsentrieb. Damit Euch in den Feiertagen nicht der akustische Sprit ausgeht, läuft die 185 satte 4 Stunden und 12 Minuten lang. Ein roter Faden schlängelt sich unverkennbar von Track zu Track.
