Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown in the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a label from the land of the Ancient Greeks: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music trip outside traditional paths with driving grooves and polyphonic structures that are seeking dancers to Dionysian highs and places never seen before.

The Blue Nile Falls is a waterfall on the Blue Nile river in Ethiopia. It is known as Tis Abay in Amharic, meaning "Smoke Abay". It is situated on the upper course of the river, about 30 kilometres (19 mi) downstream from the town of Bahir Dar and Lake Tana. The falls are one of Ethiopia's best-known tourist attractions. The falls are 42 metres consisting of four streams that originally varied from a trickle in the dry season to over 400 meters wide in the rainy season. A short distance downstream from the falls sits the first stone bridge constructed in Ethiopia, built at the command of Emperor Susenyos in 1626. According to Manuel de Almeida, stone for making lime had been found nearby along the tributary Alata, and a craftsman who had come from India with Afonso Mendes, the Catholic Patriarch of Ethiopia, supervised the construction. This is the new Shango Records compilation entitled “The Blue Waterfalls Of The River Nile”. Seventeen beautiful tracks to fall in love with. Arno Gonzalez is producing a modern house sound that sometimes ventures into melodic territory close to Electronica, the Angevin artist was first spotted by the Parisian label Missive, then by Timid Records, on which he released his debut album “Encounters”, as well as a number of EPs and remixes...

Today, he is one of the spearheads and leaders of Brique Rouge, David Duriez's label, with whom he is on a mission to perpetuate and reinvent a certain vision of House and Techno music.

With this second album, which marks “the end of innocence”, Arno explodes the codes of his music to better transcend them. We find his inimitable touch, a particular sound that is sometimes minimal, sometimes warm and melodious, a real signature on 13 tracks that tell a real story.

If this is the end of innocence, it's also the beginning of maturity.




Brique Rouge label is a pillar of the French House underground since 1999.

The label continues to disseminate the electronic sound David Duriez believes in, far from formatting and excessive vulgarity. An eclectic electronic sound that remains rooted in the underground and on vibe above all.  In general, the team's artists benefit from a carte blanche, and it's above all the state of mind that counts. The label isn't looking for success, it's a success. The success of being able to release music without compromise. With one release a week on platforms since 2020, the label (and its divisions RZ Muzik & Obliqu3) is seen as a key player on the French underground electronic scene, given the activism it demonstrates.

Faithful to the spirit of this music's beginnings - Acid House, Chicago and New York House, or the power of Belgian or Detroit Techno - the label has been churning out releases for 25 years without ever sinking into cynicism, nostalgia or parody. Brique Rouge has established itself as a key French label for the distribution of emerging and creative artists (known and unknown) who draw their inspiration from the roots of the genre, but also pursue the search for new vibes. Without commercial imperatives, the label innovates and denies itself nothing. No formatting, no time sacrificed on the altar of the platforms of streaming, with Brique Rouge it's not the face of the human behind the machine that is highlighted, but its music.

born in the fabulous year of 1972 in south west of france.
Passionated by all sounds since child (always berlin in first ! kraftwerk , nitzer ebb...& also london or paris or US house & rap) 
I became a vinyles dj in 1992 in nature , forests, private parties. Educated by Dj Nerate (UK) from famous Spiral Tribe team, i'm  proud to have been a part of these first influences @ early times of techno movement in france with very small audience (but high quality^^^ones  at the beginning , playing house, hardhouse, techno, hard techno, trance , psytrance... sharing the sound in thailand koh phan gan (92 to 95) & goa beaches (92 to 97) , jungle or breakbeat, during 10 years
After a break of 20 years..I came back on the desks , that time on digital materials from summer 2022 & at 50 years old..(!!) 
I like to improvise with all the avalanche of new stuff that i hunt & receive  each day from some precious friends.
Downtempo or midtempo (even high tempo), house, slowhouse, deephouse, hip house, electronic , deep beats,psytrance or chillhouse & even sometimes with melodic or else .
My singularity is to play without headphones most of time (it guaranty for me the essence of the energy of improvisation..)
My eclectic knowledge & my singular way to mix make my personnality , groovy & Deep most of time.
