'Reversable' - the 2nd original track from the Italian, utilizes a deep groove as the foundation, underpinned by smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a deep kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction.

On Remix duties we welcome Minorah - a clinical young talent to emerge in the scene of late, he has enjoyed steady releases on Labo T & Sinners. These VA collections will stretch across the globe searching out the finest untapped talent along with industry veterans. With a concise approach the label explores a full spectrum of melodic house and techno, with an emphasis on the astral qualities that has made the genre appealing to many. Wrapped up in this five-track journey is a veritable smorgasbord of beats and melodies that are sure to delight the senses. Hailing from Spain and providing the first selection is Asonante. His dark atmospheric sound has found a home on Infinite Depth and WOOD, the latter of which has been his primary home since making his debut in 2018. Now adding Astral Records to his portfolio, Asonante makes his first appearance on Greek imprint with Volcano'. Punchy beats and machine gun rhythms sit at the heart of the piece, as devilish electronics slowly encase the framework. Continuing to build following the first of two breaks, hypnotic arps gently rise amidst ominous overlays, before the second break pushes tension skywards as the beats drop following a billowing stab.

About the artist
Freshly hatched and fancifully feathered, DJ and producer Yannek Maunz supplies the world with deep, melodic and bass-heavy melodic techno beats he cooks up in his shambolic bedroom studio in Berlin Kreuzberg. From his very first release on, he managed to manifest a signature sound made up of analog synths, organic percussion and a knack for memorable melodies. Over the last two years this sound has been continuously pushing its way through dancing crowds and streaming platforms. Despite a steady stream of releases on established labels like Parquet, 3000°, Dantze and Katermukke, he co-founded his own label Peace Peter Records in 2020. Here, he not only releases music under his own name but also as a part of DAS MAER – an experimental project that combines deep house beats with the general aesthetic of German New Wave music.

Welcome to twenty-fifth Project 13 release. the German duo Stil & Bense present two original melodic techno tracks. This new Ep is called 'Soft Core' and includes two importants remixes by the French duo Abstraal and the German Matthias Schuell. 

Soft core tells the story of a journey to the core of a gigantic machine. It sounds and looks strange at first hand, even chilling from a distance. But the closer you get and the more you understand how it works, the more you realize the beauty of all the different parts, wires and circuits working together. If you get to the core, you get to know the basic principle, the core algorithm, which is the key to a deeper understanding of the whole machine. As you move away, the whole thing has changed and you see it in a new light, you have a different understanding of the machine, even of yourself and your surroundings. In a way, it's also an analogy to a good club track. It has to have a soul, a core that is open to interpretation, communication, emotion.
