Echoes from N Λ T U R R I T U - MATERIA PRIMA. For me, music is synonymous with the first vibration born from silence. The first and most direct from the source of being. The first matter - the primordial matter - will determine everything we experience, know, think and know from that moment on. Depending on the use of alchemy, healing or destruction happens from here. To listen to music and especially to create a sound journey means for me to follow this thread, to find a way to the source of existence, to the primordial. To what everything in this world turns: to the omnipresent harmony. In addition, I would like to point out again and again that this happens in harmony. Harmony means to bring opposites together. Dissolving our thinking of opposites. Letting go of our differentiation of things, instead recognizing the connections and commonalities. ALL IS RELATED - according to Jeremy Narby in his lectures. I prepared this set for the Medicine Festival over several months of travels and adventures. Each song came as if in magical and sacred moments, joyfully condensed into a story of drums and extasis. And so was the dance floor. A horde of goblins and wizards and witches and gnomes and elves and madmen jumping up and down and celebrating life. 

So grateful to the Medicine Festival family for a festival of so much love and so many rituals of love, and for letting me open the night stage at prime time, allowing a naughty dance of medicine people. 

Sometimes an important thing to remember is that festivals are also ceremonies, and one of the oldest ones. May the party never end :)

This is a recording of my live set on the world bass stage at Cosmic Convergence 2017-18 - a festival to bring in the new year located on beautiful Lake Atitlan, Guatemala where I call home. This is a collection of unreleased music I have been working on over the last months with a number of collaborators. (set list below)

Many people came to me after this set and said they felt this balance of the masculine and feminine that was a powerful and unique experience for them. There were times during the set where I connected so deeply with the feminine that I almost felt as if I were transformed into a woman. This was a very powerful journey for me to share this music with a dance floor full of open minded beautiful people from around the world and it is an honor to share it now with you.

The artwork is a stylization of the Lovers card out of the Rider-Waite tarot deck. I work extensively with the tarot in my own journey of uncovering the mysteries of life and as an oracle in my daily practice of connecting deeper with the energies present within myself and in my environment. The Lovers card represents a harmony, a balance between the masculine and feminine aspects of the individual. It is a love affair of the intellect and the emotions, of the analytical mind with the intuitive mind. Through this love affair we are able to arrive to a greater internal balance and a deeper harmony with our environment.

"We live in the direct stream of challenging times. 

Apart from pandemics, I see many problems for humankind and our connection to Mother Earth, so we have to multi-manage living with crises and transformation:   on a global, social and personal level. But we are not helpless victims.  We have the power to change.  I don’t belief in beliefs. I trust in experience, learning, thinking, intuition & love.

To tap into healing, it might be necessary to face our own dark and blind spots:  our shadows hiding in our subconsciousness, our traumas and addictions. It helps to see them for what they are, and how we relate to them. Hopefully we can find the power to integrate or transform them; to become more whole, attentive and joyful.. 

In this sense I created a soundscape for a shamanic-initiation-journey:  giving birth to the idea of a vision quest and personal transformation.  

Feel free to Imagine yourself to be protagonist.
Starting point of the story is our situation with our planet, our dear home.  Once on the shamanic way, the adept connects with nature and finds allies in supporting animal spirits. Following down the rabbit hole, traveling deeper into darker realms of the personality and the psyche.  Developing along basic questions of existence--as well as through missions & adventures--you find out more about your purpose in life.

And you move on in your own sacred dance.
