Bau Muzik is the new label created by DEAS and inspired by his fascination of the Bauhaus style. This project will showcase new music from DEAS and a selection of special guests. We invite you to dive into the soundscapes showcasing his definition of modern techno.
 
DEAS has been building his music profile following excellent EPs on Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection, Marco Bailey's MATERIA and legendary Dutch label Planet Rhythm, as he continues to impress with his expertly crafted dance floor weapons.
 
Rotterdam's Triple Vision is the distributor of Bau Muzik who look after labels like Bas Mooy's Mord, Dax J's Monnom Black and Emmanuel's ARTS.
 
"Confusion" has huge rolling drums under haunting, lead synth stabs followed by an electrified lead sound that builds into the break with rising tension. A powerful feeling of menace and faultless function is locked inside the groove.
 
"Block" is the title track and second offering, with thundering percussion and sharp, metallic hits it uses intense bleeps and sweeps to make this a breakneck DJ weapon.
 
Third up, "Convenience" has a stomping sound combining with abstract, eerie tones to create an ominous, trippy and twisted mood within this peak time jam.
 
Closing the EP with "Dystopian Future" it focuses on a sci-fi aesthetic made from morphing, warping acid licks and static hums that prowl the airwaves with a somewhat sinister motive. The synth accents that appear later really take it to higher heights of hypnotic engagement.

Los Angeles’ rising talent Stephen Disario made his debut on Liberta Records in August with a heavy-weight release. A massive contributor to the LA scene as a promoter, his distinct sound and passion are clearly evident in the music. "Perfect Circuit" EP translates a raw and hypnotic journey through Disario’s vision of techno.

The label now returns with a special project where each label artist would pick one of their favourite tracks from the label’s back catalogue and apply their own reinterpretation.

Reinterpretations Part I features remixes by the label’s familiar faces: Andre Salata and Stephan Krus, alongside newcomer Duncan Macdonald. Italy’s very own Stephan Krus is on remix duties for Stephen Disario’s track "End World."

Reinterpretations Part I

Premiere: Stephen Disario "End World" (Stephan Krus Remix) - Liberta Records

Italian Techno maestro SLV returns to Soma with his biggest release yet, the Under Pressure EP. With a slew of hits + an album under his belt at Soma, SLV ramps up the pace with this latest release. Two thunderous, rave-infected tracks lead the charge with remixes from label heads Slam and veteran Thomas P. Heckmann. 

Opening track Perpetual Slaughter rips through the speakers with riot inducing vocals tearing at the heart of this massive bomb. Phoenix Rising continues the hard hitting theme as pulsing synths drive continuously letting up only momentarily before thrashing drums explode through. Soma label bosses, Slam, drop a typically wild remix of Perpetual Slaughter working in their own interpretation of the original’s synth hook, complete with a decisive percussive assault. Legendary Techno artist Thomas P Heckmann delivers a seriously funked up, 90s-esq version of Perpetual Slaughter. Manipulating his hardware and twisting the synths to give his typically authentic and renowned, body music sound.
