Elart Records sees its Spanish label head Albert Salvatierra supply his seventh EP and this time welcoming remixes by Arnaud Le Texier and Joton to complete the four track package.

Arnaud Le Texier is a veteran artist who has released on heralded imprints ranging from from Slam’s Soma to Sven Väth’s Cocoon and continues to inspire the scene with his evolving style and quality productions.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his remix of “Immersion” that focuses on a rolling beat and hypnotic aspects to drive things forward in a relentless fashion. Morphing tones, stabbing phasers and spacey textures create a deep character to this energetic piece of masterful techno.

Techno pioneer Robert Hood debuts on Rekids with a blistering release entitled ‘Nothing Stops Detroit’ ahead of an album this winter.

Over the last three decades the Underground Resistance alum has continually been at the forefront of the techno genre whilst releasing on many of electronic music’s finest labels to boot. In recent years his solo outings have appeared on a select few labels such as Dekmantel, Music Man Records, not to mention his very own M-Plant. Having made appearances on Rekids in the past remixing label boss Radio Slave - both as Robert Hood (‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’) and Floorplan (‘Feel The Same’) - the Detroit originator now drops a four track release in his official debut on the label.

With its machine aesthetic, ‘Nothing Stops Detroit’ is unmistakably Hood from start to finish. Precision kick drums propel the title track forward as stuttering effects and deep stabs work alongside a march band rhythm. ‘7 Mile Dog’ is next with its grainy synths and scintillating pads, making way for the meandering bassline, rattling atmospherics and trippy, oscillating top line of ‘Ignite A War’. Finally, ‘The Cure’ is a cacophony of twisted percussion and rumbling low-end that energetically concludes matters.

‘Wounds’ is the fourth full-length album by Głós and marks the return of the Berlin-based producer to his Techno roots. After excursions into the realms of Ambient music on both his previous albums in 2019, ‘Wounds’ starts where 2018’s ‘Fem’ left off and delivers a wild collection of music dedicated to heavy kick drums and driving rhythms.

Melancholy is a constant companion on the eight original compositions of this album, but there is also a sheer lust for life that’s resonating within the tracks’ experimental nature. Swaying between crude rhythms and straight forward beats, between harsh noise and bittersweet melodies, the story told is lead to a conclusion by the remix work of Linn Elisabet, Michał Wolski, and Wice.

‘Wounds’ will be available as a CD release and in digital formats due the 12th of November 2020 via @diffusereality.

Detroit pioneer Robert Hood joins Radio Slave’s Rekids label with a fourteen track album entitled ‘Mirror Man’ this November.

A founding member of Underground Resistance alongside Mad Mike Banks and Jeff Mills, Robert Hood is one of techno’s originators and his decorated career spans three decades. The American artist and his M-Plant label laid down the blueprint for minimal techno and 1994’s ‘Minimal Nation’ on Axis was a definitive album that further cemented Hood’s reputation as one of the greats to emerge from the Motor City.

Since then, Hood has gone on to release on many of electronic music’s best labels like Tresor, Peacefrog, Music Man Records, Dekmantel and more. After a busy few years making music and touring as Floorplan alongside his daughter Lyric, Hood now joins Rekids with an album showcasing his innate knack for crafting paired back but intricate rhythms that deliver punch and soul.

Opening with the cinematic ‘Through A Looking Glass Darkly’, the album quickly flows into precise, powerful four four. There’s mesmerising cuts such as ‘Fear Not’ with its throbbing bass and spectral vocals, the twisted and off-key ‘Run Bobby, Run’, not to mention muscular tracks designed to light up dancefloors like the machine driven ‘Ignite A War’ or the robust and rumbling ‘The Cure’.
Hood also breaks things up with downtempo and mind bending interludes, including the tranquil yet spooky ‘Black Mirror’ and the beatless and murky ‘Freeze’. Each of these are aural feasts that demonstrate his vast musical pallet.

From start to finish ‘Mirror Man’ is an education in finesse from one of techno’s most heroic artists, landing on one of electronic music’s most important labels.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the original track “Intergravity” that is an impeccable snapshot of contemporary techno. The pounding kick and prominent, throbbing bassline mean utter business as it uses subtle characteristics and spacey textures to add depth to the overall vision, yet in essence is a floor working missile of the highest measure.
