Animalia presents the first in a series of 2 x 12” compilations… For volume one, comes Microevolutions… An homage to the label’s continued growth and evolution, a label dedicated to authentic celebrations of talented local artists. Here, Animalia returns to its roots with a release compiled by the members of Menage (plus special guests Ebbs n Flow), all compiled in the northern suburbs of Naarm (Melbourne).  The compilation showcases the various moods and facets that make up the deep yet somehow undefinable Animalia sound.  From deep techno to UK garage and everything in between, Microevolutions is an earnest reflection of the diversity of sound that makes Animalia so special.

Always adept at translating past eras with meticulous production and a modern flair, Paul Jextra takes in the sounds of 90s afro-cosmic, acieed and deep downtempo for his most club ready record to date.

The EP is five end to end acidulated triiips complete with middle eastern rhythms, synth squelch and subbass pressure; primed to rattle bass minds and melt minds.

Elsa, hailing from Basel, Switzerland, discovered her love for electronic music early on. While studying music in school, she began experimenting with digital production. It wasn’t long before she joined the DJ collective and label SchanzeAcht, on which she released her first EP in 2022. Since then, she’s played gigs across Switzerland and Germany and released on labels like Pressure Dome, Common Ancestors and Companion.
