This mod aims to rectify all this, and adds a much more natural way of interacting with officers. Eg. to order officers to fall in, you can say "Fall in", "On me", "This way", "Follow me", etc.The mod also allows players to send reports to TOC and order suspects/hostages to comply, using their voice.


Each type of order (team selection / commands) can be given separately, or combined in the following ways:
TEAM (Eg. "Blue team.")
COMMAND (Eg. "Open and clear.")
TEAM, COMMAND (Eg. "Blue team, open and clear.")
TEAM, HOLD, COMMAND (Eg. "Blue team, on my command, open and clear.")
HOLD, COMMAND (Eg. "On my command, open and clear.")
Note that no pause is required between each type of order. "Blue team on my command open and clear" will be recognized just fine. Also note that no other combination of the order types are supported. Eg. COMMAND, TEAM such as "Open and clear, blue team", is not supported, and would probably cause it to be recognized as two commands. The current team will open and clear, and then the blue team will be selected.


I've been enjoying Swat 4: Elite force for the past few days, especially with voice commands. However, some that I would expect to be recognized, don't register. Things like "On me", and stuff like that. I found a speech recognition improvement, but it only adds it to Swat 4, and Swat 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate, not Swat: Elite Force. Would it be possible to add it to Elite Force?


However, the opposite is true. Verbal commands very often set the tone for the ultimate outcome of police encounters for SWAT. Verbal commands have been an integral component of law enforcement from the earliest days of policing.





Verbal commands today are usually preceded by the identifier: "Police!" Followed by any of the following commands: "Freeze," "Don't move," "Show me your hands," "Hands up," "Get down," "Down," and other equally descriptive easy-to-understand commands.


What is the purpose of verbal commands? To identify us as Police, followed by immediate compliance, further followed by control of the subject(s). Ask any street cop why this is important, and they will say "officer survival."


I can make a case for both commands. Each has proven track records and fierce advocates. As with all tactics, there are pros and cons to both. Why do different SWAT teams prefer different commands? Which commands work the best? Why or why not? Are commands situational (adapting to the situation)? What about verbal command combinations?


Training is how you gain consistency, along with situational flexibility. Training means commands become second nature for all team members. You'll get your reward from how smooth and effective real world missions are accomplished. Positive reinforcement of success eventually makes believers of even the most ardent doubter.


These commands use VoiceAttack to translate the in-game on-screen SWAT menus from Moving through Breaching into natural and intelligent voice command phrases that will fire keypress macros to help maintain immersion in single player Ready or Not gameplay. As an additional option, these commands can be locked behind a push-to-talk mode bound to keyboard key or controller buttons, allowing any other VoiceAttack command unrestricted access if needed, while still restricting these RoN SWAT menu command macros. I have also added an optional Audio Feedback Mode to play a short radio cue sound when a command is successfully recognized (off by default). As with all my AVCS4 profiles, my goal was an intuitive system, so there is no user manual - only a few infographics and quick reference pic of all the SWAT menu commands. 

If you can think of a way to say a menu action, it's probably covered. I typically imagine sentence structures that can mimic most "any way you say it", and use those for my recognition command

Amazing tacos!!! I am not from here so I asked some locals where to go and kept being told to try smoke. I am so happy I listened. After weeks of testing (thank you Patrick!) and fixing bugs it's safe to say we've officially reached a stable version which makes SACD-Ripper version 0.21 our beta. From now on make sure you are running (version number should be displayed at startup) at least version 0.21 before reporting new bugs.


PS3 up and running - working fine with latest (as of last week) software. All of a sudden - the PS3 will not recognize any SACDs put into it in SACD - ripper. "The current disc is empty or not recognized as an SACD, please reinsert". Any ideas on what to do.


I am using an older version of the ripper, I think it is 0.21. Very happy with that, has been working well for over 100 SACDs. Any reason to upgrade the .pkg? If so could you send me a PM how to get the newest?


I have been ripping my 500 SACDs with PS3 and SACD ripper 0.30( I have also tried it in another machine with 0.36 SACD ripper) and there are several SACDs (classical music SACDs) which I failed to rip and the error is 8002B301. What is it supposed to mean and is there anything I can do with that? Thanks.


Is it a reversible thing to go back to 0.21? I am a bit scared to tweak these things because this is already my second PS3. My first one just fails me at the first time I used it and I have waited for 3 months to get this one which was installed with 0.30 by the seller and I dared not mod it for fear of 'sudden death' again. thanks


The only consoles released with 3.56 firmware that are not downgradable even with hardware are a small percentage of cech-slim 2501a , cech-2501b. any cech-3001 slim. any super slim. Therefore, any system capable of sacd playback was released with firmware lower than 3.55. That makes any cecha01 , cechb01 cechc01 or ceche01 downgradable with a hardware flasher.


I am fairly certain but need more testing to confirm. that if you purchased a downgraded console and a bmd-003 drive board was used to repair the system this would disable sacd playback. The a- e models were released with bdm-001 or bdm-002 drive boards. These are the only drive board that have the necessary hardware for sacd playback.Anyone with a sacd capable console that is not able to play sacd's should consider this as the likely cause.





I am a repair guy not a developer or programmer.. However I am attempting to get sacd_ripper converted to run on 4.XX Firmware. IF this happens it will be for 4.30 or lower for now. Not by choice of course.


The original PS3 could play SACDs, and many of the thick bulky models can do so. A good list is available here (I also screenshotted it here):

 If you can find one that has a firmware previous to 3.55 (or any custom firmware, also called a CFW), it can be made to run the sacd-ripper software we'll be using later in the process. If you cannot find this hardware, the rest of the process is currently impossible since the original firmware after 3.55 hasn't been compromised. This could change at some point, but don't get your hopes up.

 Once you have the PS3 in-hand, you'll have to install a custom firmware on it. I used the REBUG 3.55.4 REX edition available here:

 I'll leave that process as an exercise to the reader. I'm going to assume from here on out that you're running a 3.55 CFW on your PS3.


I have a linux server in my house, and I used it to build sacd-ripper using the PS3 toolchain (just get the precompiled toolchain - don't try to build it yourself). sacd-ripper can be found here:

 Building is a bit of a pain, but it will build once you get everything happy with regard to the toolchain - see the README for details on the build process.

 You'll also need sacd_extract in the same project, which is available under tools. Use cmake to build this.
