Manuella Blackburn on 'Kitchen Alchemy': While composing this piece, I began to think of the analogy of alchemy and its applicability to the compositional process of acousmatic music. I wanted to create something seemingly precious and elaborate that showed no similarity to the ordinary source sounds of kitchen utensils and appliances.

Electromagnetiquemix is an audio work produced from the installation art  work - Electromagnetique Composition for Building Plants & Stars by David Haines and Joyce Hinterding . Exhibited at the Sendia Media Tech – Sendai, Japan Curated by Shimizu Kent for the exhibition ReSearch. 2006. This was a Site Specific work that used  Live and recorded sound HD video projection and Custom built VLF antenna and audio equipment.
