Born In Flamez double single ‘Play’ presents a ferocious claim for dissent bodies in the form of two relentlessly queer anthems. Known for their experimental and enigmatic approach on identity expression, with ‘Play’, Born In Flamez delivers an uncompromisingly sensual revision of a crunk classic and a banging collaboration with the cross-border performance artist Muxxxe.

Originally conceived as the soundtrack for a multidisciplinary performance involving physical expression, censorship, transformation and plastic waste, ‘This is what my body says’ depicts a call for body liberation upon the decline of the world, the collaboration with the masked artist from Tijuana ‘Muxxxe’ bounds together a feeling of distinctive tenacity that comes along with queer emancipation.

With xenomorphic atmospheres, heavy mechanic percussions and alienish echoes the EP constrains the most redemptive side of Born In Flamez in the form of two unapologetic and futuristic rap pieces.

‘Yukou / 遊光’ is Kyoto-based DJ and producer Rilla’s second EP for SVBKVLT. 5 tracks, plus remixes from Nahash, Tra Tra Trax’ Bitter Babe and Gorong Gorong’s Kadapat.

Yukou / 遊光 is a combination of the words 遊 (play) and 光 (light). It can be directly translated as ‘wandering light’, but also can mean ‘God of fire’ or ‘Demon fire’. which is often used in Japanese to refer to the fire that accompanies a ghost.

Fusion Tank: DJ Pacifier + Folded Voices [PREVIEWS]

Failed Units kick off their new 'Fusion Tank' series with Montreal's DJ Pacifier and New Yorker Folded Voices, allowing the artists to explore the idea of collaboration in which ever way they see fit.

DJ Pacifier's 'Prograsm' travels through the unhinged glitched out techno sound that the Canadian has become sought after for in recent times. Their ventures into the the depths of hard dance has seen them feature recently on the Boiler Room mix series as well as taking on a tour of Europe and the UK.

the first track in advance of @postcarboncollective first ever release 'MechaWorks' is our resident's @quendera 'sanidid [qdrone V0.7]'. full release is out on June 3rd in their bandcamp & soundcloud.

MechaWorks is a journey through the insides of the Machine, first with eerie tones and meditative melodies and winding deeper, down, evolving into an exploration of boundless soundscapes where a vast extent of human emotion is paired with an electronically organic sensibility. several artists looking in through different lenses at the same intrinsic simulation.

it is a compilation of different artists, mostly based in Lisbon, making use of different techniques, softwares and hardwares, uniting under the same concept of the Machine, each producing a sample of a different facet of its hegemony.

MechaWorks travels into and through consciousness to connect with something below, something common, something unconscious.

Based on the free interpretation of the ‘breakbeat’ genre, the breadcrumb trail of this second compilation is the theme “from happy to dark” (or the other way) to celebrate the fluctuation of emotions whether positive or negative. Over-cultivated positivism implies the rejection and the covering up of negative emotions… This compilation is here to reminds you to live fully your emotions and only think about what’s best for you.
