Hessle Audio welcomes Toumba to the label with the 4 track EP 'Petals'. Based in Amman, Jordan, Toumba explores Levantine microtonality, rhythms, play styles and timbres across the record. Lead track 'Istibtan' is a twist on a typical Jordanian wedding song with deep subs providing the foundations, complimented by crisp percussion and warm melodics.

Toumba is a producer, DJ and sound designer and is a curator at MNFA, a club and arts space in Jordan's capital Amman. A nationally respected artist, Toumba also holds a residency at the MMAG Foundation. The foundation works with a selection of the most gifted artists in the Levant, providing a space for artistic research, production and critical discourse.

For the labels third EP-Release, Ghosttown Records is especially excited to present four tracks, written by their very own Brootworth. The complex, fast and techy rythms, underpinned with spheric synths are going to take you on a powerfull trip through bassmusics' borderlands. The intense breakbeat-roller "Trance Floor" opens the EP with a pressure building introduction, its raw spirit and jaw-dropping drum pattern, while "Chaos" compromises all these elements into a mercyless dancefloor weapon. Finally "Slow Dissolve", rich of beautifully crafted synthesis and undeniable vocal references, represents the even more profound aspects of these fruitfull experiments, balancing on the cutting edge of jungle breaks and bassheavy grime. The closing track "See?" rounds up GTEP03 with a deepdiving take on modern dubstep hybrids, cementing Brootworths reputation to skillfully deconstruct his musical influences, just to rebuild them in his undeniably unique approach to soundsystem-cultures' finest sounds and beyond. Supported by some of the most challenging selectors out there, like Mumdance, Dangermami, LCY, Bloomfeld and more, these tunes have already started to leave their imprint on dancefloors worldwide, and will for sure continue to do so! GTEP03 is out on Ghosttown Records on November 3rd.

Bait's first various EP format release 'Baby Steps' is an exploration of steppers: pounding four to the floor kicks, organic percs and an overall 'elephant march' feel. Featuring tracks by five French producers, Strasbourg-based @orchidj (half of @orplusbe with Bait founder @beatricemasters), Bruxelles-based Moriiiis J., most-known for his broken-beat project @Kuna-Maze, as well as @Quasardub, whose name is well established in the dubstep world with releases on legendary UK labels such as Artikal and Deep Medi to name a couple. @agonsound (Few Tips/Trajectoire) & @c-line-technorama (Technorama)'s collaboration opens a door towards the more abstract and contemplative side of bass music with influences such as Shackleton, perfectly closing 'Baby Steps' VEP.

INGI (@leshlingi) returns to Scuffed Recordings with four new intricately-crafted club tracks on his Shaker EP.

Icelandic-born, London-based INGI first appeared on Scuffed in 2022 with his Fade EP, an exploration of breaks, percussion and bass weight which saw support from the likes of object blue, Surgeon, Breaka, and Manami.

Since then, INGI has honed his skills as an artist and DJ, as a co-founder of London party and label Elastics, and resident at “your favourite festival’s favourite festival” Floorless. INGI’s sound is a love letter to the London and Manchester scenes that he came up in, flitting between UK club influences but impossible to pin down to one sound alone.

Bait’s second VEP (Various EP) is a 4-track dive into a rather modern phenomenon: 150 dubstep, as DJs and crowds seem to be enjoying the faster bass sounds, yet broken rhythms and heavy halftime pulses. For this release we’ve got L.A.’s rising bass-music star @carreo, specialised in racing wobblers, who recently released her second solo EP on her label @fastatwork (first one was on Darwin's @specrecords). Track 2 is Berlin-based Femme Bass Mafia member @gaia-formella’s first ever release, a reflection of her upbringing in and around London, drawing inspiration from playful breaks to deep wobbly bass. Third track is by @fastcastle label captain Gent1le $oul, also Berlin-based and pushing hybrid dubstep in the German capital with hot vinyl releases and parties. Last but not least, @splt_music’s mental banger “Grill Party” that Beatrice M. happened to discover in Laksa’s Truant podcast (https://soundcloud.com/truants/truancy-volume-318-laksa) and reached out after dropping an “ID?” comment on soundcloud. The Lyon-based producer never misses, his tracks have been played out multiple times by Garçon and Agonis, in the continuity of merging bass and techno, always with an aspect of prog.

Australian label Different Intel continue on their recent run of form with the imprints first vinyl release arriving via Henry Greenleaf’s ‘Keepsake’ EP.

A reflective piece on creative exploration and personal growth, that was written while navigating post-university unemployment. The release samples records and cassettes to weave a unique tapestry of sound, each track stretching anticipations with an eclectic blend of strange sound effects, filter sweeps, and other alterations, showcasing a diverse palette of sound and meticulous attention to detail.
