Hailing from Canada AU is a new name to the scene. He’s somewhat of a food connoisseur, loves transformers and makes some awesome music. 

AU delivers a release that is fused with an array of stimulating elements; in ‘Fear Dem’ we have gangster ragga vocals from the talented Collinjah, pounding half time drums and serious weighty low ends, there is nothing pink or fluffy about this, just seriously grey and full of attitude. 

With ‘Oncle Arm’ AU steps things up tempo with Blade Runner type drones, manic spitting beats, moods that are thick as bricks and a rumble so big that you’ll find it hard keeping your pants on.

Deviant Audio welcomes the return of Johney for a sub-heavy 4-track EP featuring half-time 170 BPM numbers, dubstep as well as an amen tear out jungle track.

For those new to the name, Johney hails from Slovakia and currently resides in Brno, Czech Republic.

He began his production journey shortly after falling for the sub-heavy sounds of dubstep in 2009. His sound is a blend of his many influences from drum & bass, juke and dubstep.

Past releases on Ground Mass, Samsara Beats and Sub Garden. He’s an active member of the Soul Ex Machina collective from Brno, pushing the deeper side of drum and bass and dubstep through their events and label.
