Amsterdam's Osàre! Editions and Berlin's Sameheads team up to present a spicey spilt-side release. A hot take on new wave-saturated punk, the record flirts with the raw sound of the underground, spiralling through free-wheeling experimentation and raucous evenings, powered by throbbing revelry.

First up, three-piece assemblage Taurus crank up an electrified automaton for 'Paket.' With a voice like a supermarket tannoy from a half-forgotten fever dream, Diana Barbosa Gil reels through the days of the week, accompanied by a minimalist, plodding melody. Exploring ideas of self-determination and authority, the band combines spoken-word surreality and in-your-face dance zeal. 'Spielen' captures their palpable chemistry on-stage – the track was recorded live during Sameheads event series Diapason, curated by residents Eva Geist and Ondula.

Turning over to the B-side, upping the ante and the tempo, Schulverweis follow in the footsteps of the Geniale Dilletanten tradition. Art-haus proclivities bounce along to an ear-worm beat in 'Schwarzfahren,' followed up by the bass-whistling wizardry of 'Ichbineinarzt.' Before going out with a bang, howl and a whimper via the aptly titled 'Blut.' Schulverweis' slick delivery is entirely instinctual, improvised in jam sessions over hypnotic loops produced using a children's Casio keyboard, discovered years ago in the dusty corner of a club.

The EP is a testament to the long-standing collaboration between the dual imprints, with Osàre! label boss Elena Colombi appearing frequently on Sameheads lineups. The pair are further united by their shared passion for explosive new talent and all things a little unconventional.

Mark O'Roni (FKA Ernesto Harmon) has spent nearly a decade in the electronic music scene, honing a sound that blends Italo Disco with the sharp edges of electro-clash, EBM, acid, and techno. Based in Glasgow, their approach is club-focused, balancing a love for Italo’s chunky basslines, signature percussion, and reverb-drenched melodies with a broader electronic palette. This mix exemplifies their style, with a flair for unexpected connections and extended transitions, creating a dynamic set through both fresh and retro sounds—no filler, all thriller.

Having performed for some of Scotland’s most respected dancefloors, a few stopovers in Amsterdam, and releases on both Red Laser Records and Reality Club Records, Mark O'Roni brings an infectious energy to this set, blending genres and eras with ease.

At a very young age, @ingamauer was hooked on the frequencies of Bunker Records, Trax and Underground Resistance, developing a musical taste that ranges from industrial, techno and EBM to New Wave and Disco.

In her current hometown of St Petersburg, she is a resident DJ of the city’s most famous club @stackenschneider, but it is not enough for a curious soul like Inga, so she set out to explore the World.

Since 2014 she has broadcast her very own “Bon Voyage” radio show on Radio @comeme and as a DJ she already captivated dancers at famed clubs such as Salon Des Amateurs, Robert Johnson and De School.

Furthermore, in late 2016 she debuted as a producer with her first release “From Cologne To Clone” at HVNX, a subdivision of John Talabot’s acclaimed Hivern Discs label. This was recently followed by another dark arresting techno not techno EP on Shtum, the sublabel of Uncanny Valley from Dresden.

Before Inga Mauer takes off big time, she has prepared a mix for the EDWIN Music Channel that does not curry favour with all dancer’s guilty feeds. Instead she melts experimental music by Bourbonese Qualk and De Fabriek with organic ambient tracks from O Yuki Conjugate and drum machine gospel from Otis G. Johnson. A surprising, deep emotional trip that shows her skills as an unforeseeable selector who got only one thing in mind: to send the listener on a twisted bon voyage!

№ 51 - Inga Mauer

Swiss dj and producer Plastique De Rêve hails from Geneva and has just returned home after 20 years living in Berlin.

Born in Australia, raised to 70s electronic disco and his parents’ Kraftwerk records in the outskirts of Nairobi, then to DAF, new wave and EBM back in Europes' 1980s, Plastique has been fascinated by electronic sound since childhood and dabbling into electronic music since 1984 !!

After several live EBM and experimental performance groups, then acid, techno and early rave projects, contemporary art installations and KLF-inspired performances across the 90s, Plastique released two 12” electro bombs on International Deejay Gigolo Records at the beginning of this century, which helped him to become one of the pioneering names of the Swiss electro scene.

After the highlight of the Gigolo era, Plastique moved on with releases on other top international labels such as Turbo, Mental Groove, Kitty Yo, or DFA. His electro, disco, breakdance and acid house influenced productions have been played and playlisted by many top djs across the world.

Today Plastique De Rêve lives and works between Berlin and Geneva, as ever into futuristic electro, techno, acid house and cosmic disco, but also weird ambient soundtracks for film, installations and performances.

Plastique is also one half of cosmic disco duo NOO signed to Optimo Music Disco Plate, and has just released the first album of an ambient side-project called Ange Du Bizarre.

Since 2019 he is also co-host and producer of the Sound Of The System radio shows on Berlin's independent station reboot.fm, together with Andrew Claristidge (Acid Washed).
