At the start of this year I began working with Live City.
I played them tons of Melbourne Bounce the first time we met & they asked me if I had ever heard of Deorro.
I had not but when they played his music for me, I freaked out!
I unsuccessfully tried to track the ever elusive Deorro down but had no such luck.
I figured he had already had his head in the clouds & I almost gave up.
when we finally did connect, we laughed because not only is he one of the most genuine & gentle artists I've ever met, but he reminded me that I had reached out to him long ago when he was Ton!c. 
we bonded instantly as we are both lovers of music above all things & created two of the most powerful pieces of music I've ever been a part of.
"Supa Hot Fiya" was made the day we met in a fury of excitement.
I consider myself privileged to work alongside such a genius.
we agreed that this first jam should go out to the world as a free download.
we meet again this coming January to finish the other track we started & I'm sure he shares my enthusiasm for how large that track could be. 
we made the music we wanted to make with no consideration for who would like it & when I sent this song around to the peeps it gathered a wide range of support from Zedd, Bingo Players, Will Sparks & Kaskade to Laidback Luke, W&W, Martin Solveig, Tiesto & Showtek. 
for anyone paying attention, making music you want to make with people you want to make it with will always result in the best art.
again, I am lucky to call Deorro not only a collaborator but a friend.

When not touring his latest album on R'COUP'D, Fink has recently made Berlin a place to rest his head. The influence of his newfound home is crystalline clear considering the artists selected to rework "Pilgrim" - one of the highlights of Hard Believer. Both Paula Temple and Brandt Brauer Frick submit reworks, but it's BBF that come out trumps in this instance.
This one is set to drop 23rd February.

Fink "Pilgrim (Brandt Brauer Frick Remix)" - Boiler Room Debuts

We know next to nothing about this band, other than they're from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. You might even have guessed that from the distorted thumb pianos which are highly redolent of Kinshasa's most famous recent export, Konono No.1 - but Mbongwana Star (Mbongwana means "change", apparently) are a very different proposition. There's some very strange dubwise production, courtesy of Parisian and sometime Tony Allen collaborator Doctor L, some eerie postpunk-sounding guitar work, and an altogether unique vibe. They're coming to Europe in April and May and there'll be an album on World Circuit around then too. We will be paying close attention.

Mbongwana Star "Malukayi" - Boiler Room Debuts

Amon Tobin occupies a peculiar position in the dance music firmament – a point where the gravitational forces of IDM, EDM, D’n’B and rather more hipster-friendly bass music balance one another out. He’s got every bit the production finesse, and often the weirdness, of WARP luminaries, he can also make some very deep and dark basement-friendly tunes – yet he is something of a rave superstar in the USA, and for The Six Rhythms EP he’s on Dutch loudness-warriors Noisia’s label Division. His Two Fingers guise was originally created for tracks with UK MC Sway, but it’s now an instrumental project. We won’t lie, the other tracks on this EP slide a bit far into stadium rave territory for us, but this one – a healthy dose of body-rocking warehouse electro – does the business and then some. It’s out on 22nd June – you can preorder on the Division site or iTunes.

Without Ellen, Berlin’s vibrant club landscape wouldn’t be the same. Her new EP 'High' is the first material since 2014’s 'Freak EP'. 'High‘ is a 11-minute trip dedicated to the dancing crowd. Everything about this track is subtle and hypnotic, from the pushing bass to the powerful ascending soundscapes to the lead vocal line.

“High EP” is available 29 June digitally and 13 July on Vinyl via BPitch Control
