This week it is our absolute pleasure to welcome @bakeymusic onto our series with a very special 100% Productions mix!!!

First capturing the UK’s attention through a number of viral edits, Bakey has gone on to establish himself as an integral figure in the contemporary UKG and Breaks scene through releases on Time Is Now, ec2a, Breaka Recordings, Pineapple Records and many more. Bakey’s sharp production is matched by his finesse in the booth. Guest mixes on Rinse, Balamii, sable and Subtle have allowed Bakey to secure bookings across the UK, shutting down venues with 23 Degrees and Keep Hush. 

For his GAB guest mix, Bakey has chosen to weaponise his arsenal of unreleased material. Kicking things off with an acid-ridden soulful breakbeat number, Bakey smoothly navigates his way through dubstep-infused breaks and sinister 2step, to close with a couple of simply outrageous edits.

With his refix series “Pj Dubs", the UK born, Berlin-based producer, DJ and product specialist at Roland Europe has turned the scene on its head in no time and with one of the most exciting tracks of 2021, his "Rhythm and Gash Refix" earned himself a nomination for the DJ Mag Best Of British Awards 2021 (Best Remix/Edit).

 Recently he has put out edits and original productions on labels such as Time Is Now, +98 Records, ec2a, DimSum Records and 3 Feet deep records. He has also dropped mixes on RinseFM, Apple Music and SWU.  

PJ's tracks have become a staple in many DIs' sets, not just in the UKG scene, seeing, support from legendary Dis such as DJ EZ, Oneman, Fourtet, Om Unit, My Nu Leng, Yung Singh, Avalon Emerson, Ross from Friends and many more.

Hunee just happens to be our favourite Korean Berliner. Not only because he's particularly nifty behind the crossfaders, but also due to his handsome approach to making house and techno. His releases have been few and far between, rightfully choosing quality over quantity with output. But now he returns from a three year hiatus to reveal his long awaited debut longplayer, Hunch Music via Rush Hour.

It continues an ongoing partnership between Hunee and the Amsterdam label—he curated the Soichi Terada-focused Sounds From The Far East compilation back in February.  The album was also recorded in Amsterdam, where Hunee has been living since relocating to the city in 2014 from Berlin via a stint in LA. 

Out of the ten tracks, "Cross Road" had most pulling power. Characterised by acid synths and a rolling drum underbelly, it's cinematic and mystifying in equal measure.

Longtime Numbers and Night Slugs crew member and well-seasoned selector P.O.L. Style has finally come correct with a first solo outing and – surprise surprise – it bangs. Frankly so too does the whole EP, boasting turbo-charged edits from Neana and MikeQ, but it's "Saw 2" that had bodies at BR HQ jerking in sync. A bobbling bassline, tracky percussion and intense sense of momentum: three sides of a flawless Triforce. As for the titular film reference? Let's chalk that up to P.O.L. calling horror-lusting cities of Tokyo and Glasgow both home.
