The South London based Church imprint continue their output of quality house and techno music with the next instalment of their white label series from neighbour Laurence Guy. According to his bio, Laurence was “raised by strippers in the dressing room of a Chicago lapdancing club with only a stack of Prince records for company.” While we can’t confirm that, the maker of punchy house music has certainly got our attention. Taken from his upcoming EP of the same name, i-D exclusively share Kojak. The smooth summertime jam eases you in with the gentlest of percussion, synth whirs and chimes, before drums and blissfully distorted bass holds your hand all the way to groove town. Press play.

We've been tight with Peckham collective and record label Rhythm Section for a long time now, and catching wind of a new release is always a very big deal. Aukland-born and Peckham-based duo Chaos in the CBD have been on our radar for a minute. You'll probably know these two as the hands behind their seminal debut Midnight in Peckham, released last year. Their new release, Invisible Spectrum, doesn't disappoint. Our favourite of the tracks, "Significant Others" brings the EP to its peak with heavy jazz influences, a bongo beat and serious dance capabilities. Get ready to be wrapped up in the kind of groove that makes you forget all the bad stuff.

Loure is 22 year old, Melbourne based producer Thomas Guida. Deriving influence from a vast range of musical outfits, he delivers a refreshing take on his interpretation of Deep House. With the qualities of heavy flowing beats accompanied by smooth melodies and intricate brass, Loure takes inspiration from the forever progressive Melbourne music scene, delivering a unique mix of remarkably original and touching music. "Westside Movements" was written, produced and recorded on the inner skirts of Melbourne’s western suburbs. Gaining heavy influence from ongoing cultural movements currently gracing the streets of Footscray, the surrounding abandoned warehouses and the banks of the Maribyrnong River, this record is an Ode to the West and the joy, unity, and enlightenment it has and continues to provide to myself and all of those who choose to embrace its hidden beauties.
