@wearemakez are a duo whose production skills and deft feel for the music they are making belies their relative ages and indeed their relatively small number of releases to date. Their latest release see's them back on @heistrecordings and this time with a full artist album which is a rarity for the label.

Their LP City of All is a scintillating release yet again showing a production touch and deep understanding of the deeper edges of electronic music.

La Mano returns to his Sound Du Jour label with an emotive three-tracker.

The title track on La Mano’s ‘Fabricca’ EP is a deep and evocative piece featuring heavy-duty reverbs, distant snares and gorgeous arp melodies. ‘Fabricca’ marks La Mano’s return to his Sound Du Jour label, following his 2021 ‘Tarvisio’ EP, which launched the label, and a remix for MAN 2.0’s ‘Synapse’ on the imprint shortly after. Since then, he has gone on to release a remix for Man Power on Me Me Me and work on releases with the likes of Andy Ash, Marcus Christiansen and Demetae via Sound Du Jour.

‘Fiume’ is up next on La Mano’s ‘Fabricca’ EP. It’s an ever-evolving dreamscape on an electro tip, digitised birdsong occasionally breaking through its vibrant layers of harmony. This is before ‘Onda’ closes out the release via rich pads, a gated vocal, and club-ready drums. It’s the perfect finish for another versatile and melodic offering on Sound Du Jour.

Hunee just happens to be our favourite Korean Berliner. Not only because he's particularly nifty behind the crossfaders, but also due to his handsome approach to making house and techno. His releases have been few and far between, rightfully choosing quality over quantity with output. But now he returns from a three year hiatus to reveal his long awaited debut longplayer, Hunch Music via Rush Hour.

It continues an ongoing partnership between Hunee and the Amsterdam label—he curated the Soichi Terada-focused Sounds From The Far East compilation back in February.  The album was also recorded in Amsterdam, where Hunee has been living since relocating to the city in 2014 from Berlin via a stint in LA. 

Out of the ten tracks, "Cross Road" had most pulling power. Characterised by acid synths and a rolling drum underbelly, it's cinematic and mystifying in equal measure.

Our friends at @AxeOnWax-Records are back with yet another slammin’ VA, featuring four cuts that in typical AOW style, explore the rawer edges and deeper crevices of house music. Early support for this one is strong - championed by the likes of Frits Wentink, Baltra, Deejay Astral, Seb Wildblood *Catches breath* we could go on. 
 
Berliner, @MarlonHoffstadt has been experiencing a resurgence of late since 2013’s colossal ‘Shake That’ (christ I’m old) with releases flying out on Midnight Theme’s, his own imprint Retrograde and now Axe on Wax. “Heavily Dancin On The Ones And Twos” opens up the VA, sporting a tapestry of synths, tingling percussion and a haunting lead, making this a pretty spacey listen - and definitely one hot enough to slip on your industrial Doc Martins, mount those Technics 1210’s and heavily dance away, causing an ungodly level of damage in your wake.

Lebanese Feedasoul Records 32nd EP is 'Impossible Things' courtesy of Belgian's Max Telaer. Berlin's Habibi Grooves' take on the title track 'Impossibles Things' brings another dimension to the track with a flow more associated with dusty hiphop. With it's piano loops, MPC vocal chops as well as the tantalising acid-riddled bassline that ties it all together. This is a serious vibe.
