Here is Modern Amusement Podcast 03...I was enjoying a caipirinha in my hotel room on my last night in Sao Paulo this weekend, when I heard a rapid metallic knock at the door…   Thinking it was an errant room service, when I opened the door and saw nothing I was shocked…

Until I heard a series of bleeps and tones and a shiver coming from the ground and looked down.  I was surprised to see b6 the backwards motion robot again.  He was shivering and cold to the touch and his outstretched claw held a disc labeled “Lee Foss – Modern Amusement Podcast 03”   below was a a message from a future me that this was a recording of an old school house set from the early 2000's played at the 2088 Neptune Ball.  While excited to see more evidence that in the future both time travel and planetary colonies are possible I was disappointed that once again there was no tracklisting on the disc.

I discovered Frankie Knuckles through his music, one that was, gentle, lush with a subdued, understated power that rocked many a dancefloor.
I had the privilege to hear him once in the heyday of his legendary residency at Sound Factory Bar in New York. I was submerged, sonically and emotionally by the beauty of the music I heard that night. I remember very clearly saying to myself that this would be impossible to ever equal.
That was 20 years ago, and I never got to hear this magic combination again.

I got to meet Frankie a few times, and he was always like his music, gentle, humble,   yet naturally imposing

I've put together here some of my favorite music from him. So that his legacy can keep on inspiring other people.

Rest in peace, Frankie, may your music keep on moving people eternally

“Titan”, the stadium sized 2nd single from Clockwork gets the remix treatment from some of todays hottest producers. The package includes remixes from Congorock, GTA, Moska, The Partysquad and remix contest winners Coyote Kisses! Congorock does what he does best and raises “Titan” to new heights with the biggest build of the bunch. The Partysquad transform Titan into their signature badman rave style of gabber, dutch and electro. Moska transforms the drops just enough to turn crowds upside down and contest winners Coyote Kisses deliver the now crucial trap version. Miami’s GTA round out the release taking on the duties of remixing “Titan’s” monster B-side “BBBS”. It's two years since Honey! When I joined Robyn on tour in 2019, I'd make mixes overnight and try them in sets - there are a lot of them, Honey vs Kenlou, Honey vs Pépé Bradock, That's Alright (Honey), She's Got Her Own Thing She's From Sweden, This is Robyn Speaking.... but the one which seemed to make the most sense, like it was a blessing from the gods of music, was 'Chic It Immediately'. I remember having this brain itch that the bassline in "French Kiss" reminded me of something, and it turns out it was Bernard Edwards' bassline from "I Want Your Love". 

It's been teased by Robyn on NTS, (which was then ripped and used at a JW Anderson show), and played every night by me on the Robyn tour. We're happy to share it here.
