Wandering between the city streets I cast my mind back to days gone by - lost friends, late nights and distant memories of faces and places I can't recall.

Despite all of this it was the same brickwork, the same broken cobbles and pavestones upon which I tread wildly atop into the morning. 

A cup of coffee and a paper will do, let's see what the world's done now. The sound of birds chirping in the trees as I enter the park, the remnants of a big weekend scattered over by the bin. 

Some might not think much of this place, to them it means little. However, to a geezer like me, it was paradise and the sense of opportunity hung thick and lingered in the air. 

Amy Dabbs and Coco Bryce have collaborated to release a killer four track EP on the newly launched record label LT-Coda, an offshoot of Lobster Theremin. We don't say this lightly when we hint that this may be one of our favourite releases of the year so far - sun kissed samples and euphoria aplenty this one rocks.

None of the terms used for this kind of stuff really stuck, did they? Bass music, future garage, uhhhh "post-dubstep" - they don't really cut it. But here it is, exquisitely-constructed music that has a little bit of the electro-IDM finesse of an  Objekt , a little bit of vintage 2-step swing, a little bit of  Livity Sound -ish gritty soundystem techno, and a whole lot of dubwise echoes of FWD>>. This is coming on the  Wisdom Teeth  label that K-Lone runs with Facta, on a split 12" with  Keysound  alumnus Etch, and it's a proper tasty little bassbin-tester.

The fourth release is a big one for Holding Hands as they branch out into brand new territory with their first new signing on the label. 
Breaka usually runs in very different circles, producing footwork, juke and DnB from his home in Leeds. These are the first tunes of his at a slower tempo to be released but you can certainly hear those influences loud and clear in these certified UK 125-130bpm bangers.

Bash (AKA Julio Bashmore) graces Trules fifth release and the first in a series of ten inch white label singles with Jubilee, a sub heavy, minimal, UK garage dub that manages to marry the sparser techno vibes of his Conch releases with the subtle anthemic quality of his other alias. A real dance floor sneak bomb.
Al Wootton provides a two-stepping dub remix on the B-side, chopping the drums and echoing everything out to infinity.

If there's one sound running riot through the underground electronic music scene right now, it's a drum break. As someone who's been slotting Amens in tracks since 2017, London producer Breaka isn't just hopping on the trend. The second release on his own label, 'Breaka002', shows off three cuts of exploratory dancefloor sounds, and we're premiering one below. "I started this self-release series to give myself a chance to release some slightly different sounding music," Breaka says. "That continues with Breaka002 - for 'Steeze Flex', I wanted to make a rolling groove out of some favourite samba and Afro-Cuban beats, and then supplemented them with some moody synths and horns." Bringing trumpet and horn textures into stuttering drums and tripped-out vocal snippets, you can listen to 'Steeze Flex' below.
