In just a short amount of time DJ and producer SASO (a knock off of her actual name Sarah Soto) has gained recognition and turned heads with her unique and energetic style she calls "Chic House." Her love for music started at age five when she learned to play the drums alongside her father's guitar riffs. SASO's home was always filled with music as her Dad was a rock and roll musician and her oldest sister was apart of early rave culture. Throughout her childhood SASO's love for music quickly grew and she learned to play guitar. Her first debut as a performer came when she fronted a band called It Soars Above.

Moving to Los Angeles in 2009 at a young age allowed her to immerse herself in the underground house scene Los Angeles is notorious for and her love for electronic music grew. Having a knack for rhythm and beats SASO soon geared up and decided to get behind the decks herself. Always a leader and a natural in the spotlight dj'ing was an organic fit for her and she has since played various venues all around Southern California as well as joining Los Angeles' So Cal CLIQUE crew.

Her energetic sound has garnered SASO the attention of international labels and has surely allowed her to make a name for herself in just a short period of time. The future for this rising star looks bright as she combines a funky, techno sound that is all her own - "chic house." SASO is now focusing her attention on producing and touring worldwide. She currently resides in Los Angeles and works in the fashion industry.

Bardzo. Bardzo specjalny set. Pasuje idealnie do „30 lat”, bo książka też jest bardzo specjalna  Historia jest taka: 12 lat temu na Audioriver zagrał live do tej pory szerzej nie znany polski zespół The Same. Bardzo tajemniczy ale przede wszystkim całkowicie rozwalający lokalny system: stylem i dojrzałością produkcji. Parkietowe granie ale pełne głębi. Po prostu mocny trip. Taki bardziej po papierku niż po kresce  Scenowi wyjadacze nadstawili receptory ale lot nie był długi. The same wydali trzy EP’ki, zrobili trochę zamieszania ale od lat już nie są aktywni. Teraz dzięki woli i sile perswazji   jaka stworzyła „30 lat” udało się wskrzesić ten głębinowy geniusz. Specjalnie dla nas, od The Same jeszcze gorący set. Ja się jaram.

For mix number 49 we’re delighted to welcome fellow Southwesterner James Dyer to the controls. 

Hailing from Bristol UK, his taste was forged on the dance-floors of Futureboogie, Dirty Talk and his sound in the booth of Motion’s In:Motion series of parties as a resident. All entities that are very close to home for us. More recently he can be found organising his own party series ‘Club Blanco’, playing host to favourites such as LARJ’s Massimiliano Pagliara, Disco Halal’s Moscoman and in the near future, Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston’s ALFOS. 

Getting down to business, the mixtape is a seamless progression of spaceage beats spanning the realms of cosmic disco, techno, acid, downtempo and breaks. Super tasty, cheers James!
