We're proud to present fresh club music styles for 2014 in the form of Jubilee's "Pull Ova", the new EP from Mixpak's Miami-to-Brooklyn transplant. "Pull Ova" connects the dots between cultures and genres in a way that is intuitive to Jubilee's history as a producer and DJ.

The A side “I-95” slams Jubilee's Miami Bass roots into a new dimension, cutting up iconic vocal signifiers and injecting them with a heavy dose of Brooklyn bass. The end result is a track that’s both timeless and right on time for the contemporary dancefloor.
On the flipside, "Pull Ova" feels like a lost 90's Armand Van Helden remix of a Miami Bass track, twisting snatches of diva vocals around a rugged bassline and freakout party sirens. This is party music for a new generation; jam it in your jeep on the way to the club.

Meanwhile, Salva gives "I-95" the dusted hard house treatment, banging the box in a way that recalls classic 90's labels like Dance Mania and Underground Construction but flipped with the modern DJ in mind. Quickie from us: "HOLY SHIT, FINALLY THIS FUCKING SONG IS OUT... This song was meant to be an Edit to promote a show we had at LIV in december. Initially we had Disclosure's 'Fire Starts to Burn' over the track and thought the drop was way to hot to use someone else's vocal. So we had this ridiculous idea to create a song around the concept of the #SELFIE. We really weren't sure if this was the most brilliant idea, or worst idea we ever had... So we had our home girl Alexis come over and within an hour we had 2 verses and the song done. At that point in time we thought it was hilarious but we were quite sure how it would be received, but seeing as we aren't pussbags and music is about experimenting and having fun, we put it out. 2 days later the song had 200k plays and about 1% negative feedback. So we went to Dim Mak who we always loved as a label and asked them if they were interested in it, if we went back in added a new verse and changed the drops. 6 Weeks later here we are, with an amazing Music Video compiled with all this great submitted #Selfies from Fans, Friends, DJS and Celebs. So we hope you all enjoy the tune as much as we did putting this whole project together. This is our first EVER Original release and it would mean the world to us if you all bought the song, shared the video and took #SELFIE video... ”

'F For You' (Eats Everything Remix)

Disclosure’s ‘F For You’ ft Mary J Blige is set to get an Eats Everything make-over with a remix dropping on PMR this month. The record, belonging to Disclosure's Grammy nominated album ‘Settle’, has dominated the dance charts of late and Eats serves it a slice of added groove, making for a typically inviting dance floor track. 

Both acts have recently supported one another on recent dates, with Disclosure joining Eats Everything as a special guest at his XOYO residency and in return, Eats made a special appearance at Disclosure’s Alexandra Palace gig last weekend. Having a clear fondness for each other’s work, it was only a matter of time before a remix came to fruition.  Stripped back and built around his trademark punchy house template, Eats gives the original an altogether new dimension that is sure to make waves on both the radio and in the clubs.

Eats Everything kicked off 2014 with a brand new residency series at XOYO, London, with each date comfortably selling out. Alongside pioneering the resurgence of the residency to London’s nightlife, he’s been working his way around Europe too, touring some of the very best venues on the European club circuit.

The Disclosure remix is only the tip of the iceberg when when it comes to what Eats has lined up for the rest of the year. Rounding up the last few weeks of his XOYO residency, Eats will be releasing the ‘Hello Mr. Jello' EP alongside Justin Martin on Dirtybird Records and has a Hot Natured remix forecast, as well as a very exciting mix compilation in the pipeline.

Millie & Andrea are Miles Whittaker and Andy Stott, fellow labelmates at Modern Love who collaborated on an occasional series of 12” releases between 2008 and 2010. It’s been four years since we last heard from them but they now return with “Drop The Vowels”, their debut album. Produced fast and loose through late 2013 / early 2014, it’s an album that recalls the strict and stripped funk of Anthony Shakir as much as it does Leila’s incredible debut ‘Like Weather’, eschewing the dark aesthetic both producers are best known for in favour of something much more visceral. It’s an album borne from a love of both pop and club music, made to evoke an adrenalised, hedonistic, as well as an emotional response.

Opener GIF RIFF brings to life a Gamelan edit stripped bare before the over-compressed ‘Stay Ugly’ breaks out with a tumbling, broken arrangement situated somewhere between Richard D James and Jai Paul. “Temper Tantrum” and “Spectral Source” follow, versions of tracks originally released on the second and third Daphne EP’s respectively, the former a rugged rave anthem tempered by blue strings, the latter a proper dancefloor destroyer recalling Shake’s mighty ‘Madmen’. ‘Corrosive’ flits between a fillibrating, arpeggiated steppers rhythm and a brutal jungle breakdown, while ‘Drop The Vowels’ further explores and strips bare bass & drums before the slow but jacking warehouse killer “Back Down” provides pure percussive abandon. Quay ends the set with something quieter, a sublime coda made entirely from field recordings.

Delivering the 'Night Heat' EP in 2011 on DJ Haus' Unknown To The Unknown, Maya Medvesek, a graduate of the Red Bull Music Academy, has also appeared on Glasgow imprint Fortified Audio and Warp Records with a feature appearance on Rustie's 'Surph'.
