Alexis Curshé is an Atlanta-based DJ, artist, and motion designer from South Carolina. She found solidarity in Atlanta in 2018, quickly working her way into the dance music scene. Later, she met and formed strong friendships with Atlanta scene stalwarts Ash Lauryn and Vicki Powell, who she calls her "biggest blessings." They introduced Curshé to the city's queer scene, playing Sunday Service and then becoming a resident at Deep South, Atlanta's internationally-recognized queer house music event series and collective. She co-managed the A3C Festival in fall 2019 (in addition to playing it), and found her way onto lineups for events in Chicago, Detroit, L.A., and New York, opening for local queer scene heroes - The Carry Nation.

Immersing herself in underground scenes around the US and the world—and especially Atlanta—Curshé has developed a euphoric, ultra-percussive and sexy sound that ranges from hard drum to techno to soulful house. In addition to working on her first release of original music, Curshé holds down residencies at Deep South’s Sunday Service and her very own event series, Saturday Love.

Native to New York, musclecars is a DJ / Producer duo consisting of Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield. As musicians, they equally share an admiration for the artform. Their desire to blend genres and express their appreciation for music is focused around their community- the end goal is to bring people together. Through a regular stream of high quality mixes, they have begun to turn heads in underground circles.

In 2018 they launched ‘Coloring Lessons’, a party that was aimed to add value to their city’s nightlife culture. While the party and sound is not genre specific, it is heavily focused around house, disco, jazz, and soul, embracing the musical elements of their black and brown ancestors.

A guest mix from non other than Detroit House legend, Norm Talley. Norm's gone old school in this mix pulling out disco classics and rarities to fine effect. Get your groove on and enjoy the ride!

One of the foundation DJs of Detroit’s deep house scene, since 1982
Norm Talley helped to establish and cement the deep end of Detroit’s
dance culture. An early understudy of deceased legend Ken Collier,
Norm also early associated closely with Delano Smith, a bond that stands
the test of time. Detroit’s house scene was slow to receive wider
recognition, but this funky underbelly thrived throughout the ‘80s and
helped birth later developments, techno included. Dubbed ‘progressive’
at the time, the fusion of P-Funk, Motown, soul, disco, electronic music
like Kraftwerk, industrial and synth pop, and New Wave had, by the early
90s, separated into various distinct threads, the nascent house
community amongst them.
Talley dropped his first releases in the late ‘90s on respected labels like
Track Mode and Eddie Fowlkes’ City Boy, early signs of what was to
come as Detroit house emerged from the shadows to worldwide renown
following the accomplishments of Moodymann, Theo Parrish, and others.
Detroit Beatdown, the DJ trio formed by Talley, Delano Smith, and Mike
‘Agent X’ Clark circa 2000, became instrumental in this rise. Showcasing
the slowed down, raw, low-slung take on house that could only come
from Detroit, these three artists who helped pioneer the sound
presented their own personal vision to eager audiences, capped by their
three-hour, three part contribution to RA’s esteemed podcast in 2010.
By 2009 the reevaluation of early Detroit underground figures reached

full swing, and Talley took the opportunity to strike, releasing a still-
unbroken string of singles on reputed labels - Third Ear, Sushitech,

Mixmode, Landed, Dockside, Thema, and more – as well as Omar -S’
powerhouse FXHE, who dropped his first album, 2017’s ‘Norm-A-Lize’,
to critical acclaim. Mostly released since 2009, his productions trace the
entire spectrum of Detroit music from disco, vocal house, and deepest
transmissions to nasty techno only Motown could produce, all delivered
with raw emotional intensity that keeps his DJ sets in high demand.
