Soul Clap Boiler Room NYC DJ Set

Flying in just a day before Richie Hawtin's flagship Minus imprint ventures back to Room One, this next fabric x Minus Mix comes from a duo hotly tipped for greatness. Hailing from Birmingham, Whyt Noyz are the solid partnership of David Sidley and Duncan Murray, long-time friends whose act in exchanging beats has become the starting point for a strong pursuit. Snapped up by Hawtin early on in their venture, the pairs' twisted and forward thinking techno seems to be on par with the Hawtin's agenda, fitting in perfectly with Minus’s legacy of rolling and effective dancefloor beats. Speaking to the guys ahead of their set this coming Saturday, it's pretty clear that they are more than excited to be a part of Minus' growing heritage, something that will no doubt be illustrated sonically when they join Hawtin and fellow stalwart, Marc Faenger in the Room One booth this weekend.
  
So although advance tickets might be fully sold out (please note that you can still buy tickets on the door) we think there's no harm in helping to ramp up the anticipation for what lies ahead by sharing this new and exclusive mix, a feast of selections that they describe as "the kind of tracks you'd find in the final hour"...

He's celebrating the release of his 5th album 'The Curved Line' which is out this week on his own Drut imprint. "Opening with a track from the beautiful new album by CFCF, this is a selection of the more mellow end of stuff I've been playing out recently, with plenty of kick drums and a track off my new LP thrown in for good measure. I guess I think of it of of a bit of a warm up set - I actually really enjoy playing in a club at that early, potent, time of night - playing to people filing into an empty room and watching the atmosphere build."

Solid Steel in association with Serato (28th August) It's an absolute pleasure to welcome Andrew Hung from Fuck Buttons to Solid Steel this week. Alongside Benjamin John Power they have released 3 albums on ATP Recordings, headlined the Park stage at Glastonbury and featured in the London Olympic ceremony. Andrew has since released Rave Cave earlier this year with Rave Cave 2 coming out in November. With music from Mr Fingers, Drexciya, James Holden, DJ krush and Digital Underground in his mix, he had these words to say;
"I tried to create a cohesive mood with this mix whilst traversing the patterns of my taste (which is probably why there’s a few of my own tracks in there acting as milestones for me). That’s the beauty of music for me; music can transcend the boundaries of our ego allowing us to access the infinite. Maybe."
