Tackling the highlights of Nick Höppner's recent full-length Folk is rock solid BR fav, The Black Madonna, who has (surprise, surprise!) turned it into a stormer. Accompanied, as usual, by an eminently "Relate"-able message of humble gratitude, the real calling cards here are the rising, rousing synths that wouldn't sound out of place on a vintage Severed Heads 12". We're informed that it's a Panorama Bar melter, which makes sense: what begins an inviting outstretched palm winds up a slamming clenched fist.

The Folk remix 12" is out very soon, via Ostgut Ton. Keep eyes peeled.
