Radio Oxigénio 102.6 is Portugal's primary radio station for everything just left-of-centre. Based in Lisbon, it promotes a healthy dose of alternative, electronic, jazz and everything in between to its audience; much in the same way that NTS Radio remains as the UK's leading source of diverse, non-commercial sounds. Rita Maia (@rita-maia) is a DJ and broadcaster who presents a regular show on Fridays at 12-1.30am. 

We were lucky enough to be invited onto the air for a special, Boiler Room takeover session. It features BR host Skinny Macho (@blackfootphoenix) talking alongside Buraka Som Sistema's DJ Riot with a special guest mix from Rita herself.

Second Labour of Hercules sees the duo delving deeper into the world of rusty percussion and bubbling aquamarine synthesis. Our pick, "Second Labour", is an eight and a half minute odyssey, slowly crescendoing to an all out sonic barrage.

Dengue Dengue Dengue (@Dengue) have an enviable ability to whisk together the traditional and electronic. Their debut LP La Alianza Profana was a stellar example of just that - a cumbia-cum-electronica joyride dip-dyed in all the right amounts of psychedelia and mystique. 2014's follow up project, Serpiente Dorada EP was no less of a trip. And now with July 2015 here, the Peruvian pair are providing a sneak peek at their next move. "Murdah" is four minutes of footwork-paced hysteria that showcases a step up in tempo. Unrelenting drum pounds, a percussive tribal backbone and rapid-fire vocal chops become locked in an aural bull-fight that's both infectious and dancefloor-ready.

The last time O B Ignitt and Omar S teamed up for a joint production job, it ended up heralding one of the best club tracks of all time. Seeing they were back at it with the forthcoming 'The 90's Evolution Of What It Was', we damn nearly fell out our chair. Having this opportunity to run a Debut from the Detroit dons is a rarity, and a real joy.
 
Their strike rate never dips. Like we need to tell you: O B and Omar are pros. They can play trackiness off against sultry vocals with ease, tossing rave stabs out without it coming across as cute. When they get together, their tracks straight up glide – surprise surprise, "Fellow Me" is no different.
